Duran Duran Big Thing
Voto:
Well, anyway, it’s not like a deeper listen to Duran Duran reveals some hidden talent... they still suck. If someone grew up with them, that’s a different story, but the music is pretty poor... BUT, incredible but true, I was intrigued by something after their success... like "Ordinary World"... and a couple of other singles from the 90s, one with even the collaboration of a rapper... does anyone understand which song I’m talking about? Memories are hazy. I don’t know this album while their latest comeback is a crappy rehash of the emptiness of their successful albums. After all, once the money runs out, they have to cash in! -> so: thumbs down!

Well, how could it be any different? Daniele Groff was a pompous jerk who mimicked the attitude of Liam Gallagher, but was actually a total loser. Anyway, there are no reviews about it, so when I have a bit of time, I'll download his album (if I can manage to find it) and review it so a great Italian artist unjustly forgotten will be reassessed as he deserves... ha ha ha.

This is not a review, it's a shame! And you're a jerk! Given the brevity, you would be perfect on TV smiles and songs, and you even sell the record well!

PS. what happened to Daniele Groff, the man who said that Jovanotti was the Mozart of our time? I think he’s confined: "because I am meeeee, this is my house, here I decide, the stars belong to meee"... and nonsense like that until he says things like: "let’s go to the city zoo but I won’t come even if you invite me because I am me" pure genius!

Come on Niccolò... but now you're trying a bit too hard to be the committed artist! I will always remember you from the times of silly things like "I capelli" (lynching for me since I'm bald), "Il giardiniere," "Il vestito rosso," and above all "Dica"..."I return from my round and find you outside my house, you ask me how I'm doing, I say -how do you want me to be?-, you can no longer give me your love but you insist on staying my friend... forever, dicaaaaa, you never say dica without a reasonèèèèèèè!"

The latest developments from Albarn and company aren't bad (original "On The Way To The Club"). And to think that many years ago Oasis and Blur were battling it out with insults and record sales in the European markets... since then, Blur, having repented, has reinvented itself as a quirky band with its own reasons, while Oasis has recycled itself into new Oasis who, in turn, presented themselves as the new Beatles, with even more pitiful results… but under which bridge do Suede, Charlatans, Dodgy, Pulp, and their Italian versions Ridillo and Sciacalli live? What a shameful period in music the Brit-Pop era was... and to think I also went around with a Noel Gallagher haircut! What a dreadful memory!
