I remember a live song that was playing on TV in 1989 or 90 with a virtuosic bass solo and an ultra-reverberated rhythm guitar, a bit like Bill Frisell... What beautiful memories, what a great piece! They were highly regarded by the critics of the time, that's for sure!!

What can I say, guys, de gustibus...... Anyway, I think that even just comparing a CREATIVE genius like Marc Bolan to excellent but merely decent performers like the Sweet (considering that their most memorable pieces were all written by Chinn and Chapman) is at least SACRILEGE! Let it be clear that I also have my fair share of Sweet vinyl records and I listen to them with great joy, but from there to making such comparisons... It's like saying that Mungo Jerry has the same depth as Ziggy Stardust.....

Well, I can't even picture a world without Celentano; it would be like a world without La Carrà, Buongiorno, Baudo, Magalli, Don Lurio, Lola Falana, Vianello, Mondaini..... Better?.... The difficult answer is up to future generations! (for me, Celentano is a legendary joker just the way he is)

Well, it’s always the handiwork of Chinn/Chapman (who were the producers of the group, never members) that has also led to all the hits of Suzi Quatro... As for the fact that the Sweet were better than the Slade, I don’t agree. The Slade, first and foremost from a compositional point of view, have always been emancipated and have unleashed great songs in addition to having an extraordinary singer (an adjective that can’t really be used for Connolly’s voice). The best version of "Action" is Jon Mikl Thor's (try it and see for yourself on YouTube!!!!)
