Bert Jansch and John Renbourn are great musicians, and that's well known, but Richard Thompson and Dave Swarbrick are no less so. Both groups have been seminal in the history of British folk rock... What struck me was the phrase "That one is more technical than the other"... In my opinion, the quality of a band's music is not to be judged like it's an Olympic competition... Then, paraphrasing the good Tenco, "Everyone is free to do what they want"...
