Hehe: it’s true! Being short makes it much easier to read and you don’t get bored right away! ;) Anyway... I don’t agree with your initial statement either, "the best album by the young Germans"... I mean, they still didn't have their own style! Edguy still had to "discover" themselves, find their personal style, and become those splendid clowns that they are today! Hahaha! (You'll have to forgive me for this one! ;P)

Sure, what you say is absolutely right, Alfredo: about commercialization, about decline... but I don't know if it's equally correct to say that power metal is a teenage metallic genre. Well, maybe for some people it is: many start discovering metal through this more mellow genre compared to others and closer to common taste (and this often happens at a young age!) only to later approach other types of metal that are more aggressive and evolved... but... I’ve liked power metal for 5 years! And I’m still not tired of it! For me, it doesn't just represent a phase: it’s truly the kind of music I love to listen to, that gives me goosebumps and moves me. I know that technically power metal bands are not the best; I'm well aware that there are other bands that can really leave you awestruck with their extraordinary instrumental skills... but they don’t make my heart race. They don’t capture me. And that’s what I seek in a song. Music is pleasure (in the sense of being pleasant to the ear), feeling, and energy. And I can clearly find these characteristics in power metal!

Are Children of Bodom power????!!! O_o since when???? uahahahaha, can you imagine those crazy guys with their happy little keyboards playing power and with choir parts?? ghghghghgh!!! what a good laugh! Rhapsody... they're not really power, I’d say more on the epic side. Anyway, as a genre, it’s pretty close! As for nu... age will take its course (even I liked it at 13! ;)) eh eh!

look strawberry, I know Sabbath, and I'm certainly not one of those who focuses on appearances or starts thinking "satanists!!" as soon as they see a bit of black makeup and some gothic stage theatrics! I've listened to Black Sabbath...I don't like them, what can I say? They just don't appeal to me, sorry! :P

Thank you, Mary! :) So... I strongly advise against nu-metal! Quoting Manowar and connecting back to Alfredo's discussion, the nu-metal fans are what we call "the false"! Uahahaha! ;P However, if you want to start with power metal... yes, Glia Vantasia are great... but you could start with "Sonata Arctica" or "Angra": they definitely wouldn't disappoint you and would surely be money well spent!

I really liked the album!! :D Especially the instructions on how to bring down these fake, mushy alternatives who pretend to be tough by listening to System... uahahahahaha!!! I completely share the hate towards these pointless souls who know little to nothing about music! But... the CD is nice, come on. Some songs aren't bad (even though it's pretty much always the same old story -_-).
