Radiohead Hail To The Thief

Dude, encyclopedic, when it comes to open-mindedness we’re a bit lacking, huh, if you judge my review of 'Hail to the Thief' based on a personal opinion, entirely legitimate and completely out of context compared to what I wrote about Radiohead. So, we talk a lot about freedom (of choice or judgment) and then here comes the encyclopedia getting all upset because I touched that 'monument' of Bertoncelli (as if he were Angelina Jolie); who, by the way, was great but has been missing the mark quite a bit lately, and I could even give you a list. Frankly, I can’t understand all this fundamentalism. So, sticking to the theme of zero tolerance, say what you think and the poletti-judge decrees: 'Bullshit'. And so be it. Yours devotedly.

1 to this record, but make it rock! So what? If you want to listen to 'Give it away' endlessly, there's always 'BSSM' available... As for the alternative icon Frusciante (whose sometimes minimalist, other times Hendrix-like touch I actually appreciate), just forget the comparison with Navarro, who may be flashy but technically drinks him under the table. Listen in sequence to 'Shallow be thy game' and 'Emit remmus', and then let me know.
P.S. The cover is the work of that fucking genius Mark Ryden...

Look, GhostDrake, I’m not really in the mood for a debate and, honestly, your Italian is a bit confusing—maybe you got offended because I didn’t slap a nice 5 on your favorite little disc from Yorke and company? I thought this site had the freedom of choice regarding reviews, and the others on 'Hail to the Thief' with all due respect weren’t exactly written by the Bertoncelli of a few years ago (today he’s judging the jets better than Dylan’s 'Modern Times', the surely 'antediluvian' Dylan). Don’t get mad, okay, it won’t change a thing if you don’t like this damn review. Until next time, man...

Already authoritative and lethal. Epic 'Nothing to say' and 'Hand of god', between Bauhaus and psychedelia the majestic 'Entering', 'Tears to forget' slaps you properly….

Mark Lanegan has a 'flat' voice?! I mean, are we kidding here? Tastes are tastes, but this is going too far—geez! Now I’m going to listen to the 'flat' voice of that pathetic guy Lanegan in 'Scraps at Midnight', I hope I can manage to get through the boring listen...
David Bowie Earthling

Well, I don't completely agree that Bowie didn't invent 'anything'; just listen to 'Low' or 'Heroes' and realize how much they influenced much of the upcoming new wave. The Thin White Duke was brilliant up to '79 with 'Lodger' and part of 'Scary Monsters'—good in classy pop with 'Let's Dance', in art rock with 'Tin Machine', in electronic soul with 'Black Tie, White Noise', and definitely excellent in the rediscovered vein of the sonic odyssey of '1. Outside'; then, aside from the nostalgic and retro 'Hours' and 'Heathen' (both still at good levels), everything else is mediocre, see the last 'Reality'. Simply unworthy of the name printed on that dreadful cover. 'Earthling' struck me more in that February '97 for our man’s daring, but today it seems to me a somewhat clumsy attempt to dress in jungle and trendy clothes far from Bowie's world. However, I adore 'Little Wonder' and 'Dead Man Walking'...

Let's not joke about that 1 assigned to this record, eh Ale, you're making me lose my mind - the most varied and complete album by Radiohead. I agree and approve that 'Ok' and 'Kid A' are the peak of the 5 from Oxford. Oh, and excuse me, don't 'Sail to the moon', 'There there', 'Go to sleep' or 'Punch up at the wedding' have melody?!

Does 'A wolf at the door' remind you of 'It's the end..' by R.E.M.? But then it’s really true that we have different ear pavilions from person to person; damn!!!
