There can be all the metaphors you want in it, but the chosen signifier sucks, in my opinion. And I’ve seen and appreciated everything from Eastwood, just to say that I think it was about time he messed one up. Death doesn’t leave me indifferent at all, by the way. The search for dialogue with the dead, on the other hand, totally chills me. For me, it’s a story that sells well in America and in certain Americanized parts of Europe. Building three plots based on dialogue with the afterlife, to me, sucks.

I really like the review. The film: direction worthy of applause, excellent performances. But that is not enough to cover a series of contrived events that could not be more so. Lastly, the theme doesn't move me at all.
