Stone Sour Come What(ever) May

I've never read so many clichés in my life. I also saw them at Gods, great performance. For me, the album is of excellent quality, definitely not aimed at a market like ours, which is still not very receptive. This is evidenced by the fact that the gentlemen are in the UK now and soon in the USA. I'm not saying they are better than us, but they certainly deserve it more. This album is a delightful smack on the incisors; it doesn't matter much that it's catchy when the melody is so captivating.

The review is too convoluted. Unfortunately, it doesn't inspire me. An album of wonderfully cavernous-intimate nature. Fortunately, many people hate it...better that way.

I just wanted to add that what the King - Censor sees as a lack of creativity, to me instead seems like a wide-ranging exploration in territories akin to Team Sleep, with one difference: here the dreamlike quality definitely intertwines with hysteria. I can only reaffirm that the band is moving into realms that require great class and a strong capacity for listening. They even remind me of Voivod's "The Outer Limits" in rats!rats!rats!, a piece that I actually consider good. In my opinion, this album should be listened to multiple times; before it can convey what it has to offer, quite a bit of water must pass under the bridges...

Reviewing an album like this is not an easy task. It requires passion; one must manage to immerse oneself in that world made of drowsy sensations or memories with an opium flavor. If I don't find this in such a review, I cannot consider myself satisfied. Moreover, it wouldn't encourage me to listen to the record, which is instead a gem that exudes dreams from every track...

Great album. No doubts about it.

Mmmmm...mmmmmmm...MMMMMMMM...I don't want to come off as the new critic in town, but a review like this for an album like this is quite inappropriate. There's no need for me to repeat what has already been said by many. About the review, and also about the record. Regarding the album, I would add that it is perfectly cold and nihilistic. Probably the peak of formalist frost that this band could achieve. That's why it feels less emotional than Viva Emptiness in my opinion...but it is still a masterpiece that aims to be one. Isolated and detached. Certainly difficult to listen to for those who have never approached the band before.
