Kiss Crazy Nights

An album that, for my tastes, would deserve below zero. And yet... Crazy Crazy Nights, Reason To Live, and Turn On The Night make it a gem.

As a true Bon Jovi fan, I can only say that this album is like Battleship Potemkin.

Latest masterpiece from the great combo of New Jersey. The album that bids farewell to old influences, gathering them all in some tracks that feel infuriating in hindsight. Because Bon Jovi could have given so much more to sweaty rock.
In any case, the review frames some pieces well, while others less so. The fact remains that it is still an album where there is everything, and where this everything is interpreted by masters. Here the ballads are magnificent, the rock tracks are even more mature than in the past, and the blues nuances (with a strong bonjovian tone in some tracks) pierce the sternum and do their job well, striking straight to the heart.
The most mature work of a band that was born great, became enormous in this episode, and then became smaller and smaller. Alas.

Great album, excellent rock. Back then, there were also the bad guys, like W.A.S.P. (another great band), and maybe that's why we should thank Jon & Co. ...for giving us a sound that is still hard enough, but positive, fun, sparkling, terribly festive. In short, all this viuuuuleeeeenz needs a break.

A little review (you could have done more and I'm sure you could have, consequently my rating would have soared). I haven't read the tons of insults you've thrown at each other above. I can only say that I'm on the side of those who appreciate this album. A true rock pearl, something that would surely be the anthem of the suburbs if it were trendy now (maybe!!!), a de beers of rock. Songs etched in the marble of history forever, others less known that deserve even more.
Keep in mind that this record is very artisanal and they worked on it for a really short time to put it together. And then it became what it is today, a symbol of rock whose singles are still blasted in all the rock/metal clubs across Europe...
A gem is the photo inside the booklet. Hair, leopard pants, outrageous hairstyles, Ray-Bans, hot chicks, a car that's four and a half meters long, and a car wash scene.
If the Americans do one thing right, it's definitely rock. And Bon Jovi have been the best interpreters of the genre for years.

A very enjoyable album. It’s the gem that’s about to blossom (unfortunately followed by 7800 Fahrenheit, a decidedly poor record, although less raw and a bit more polished), an album that makes you feel good and gives you "easy" emotions but with all the charm possible only from one of the best AOR / FM rock bands in the States. I completely agree with the detractor. Excellent summary. Well done.

I forgot. Mariaelena, write in Spanish like Abatantuono spoke in Italian.

A group for which I have practically everything original. Anyone who listens to rock is missing out on something by ignoring them. In their music, there’s everything, especially that smoky, sweaty, and alcoholic passionate Spanish vein that sometimes shades into Gothic and orchestral tones, only to suddenly shift to Hindu atmospheres. Explosions of rock with a deep voice, and winding melodies that come from the bass. Dark, with a cursed air... undoubtedly great musicians who have all my respect and admiration. The only regret is never having seen them live. Give them a listen!!!

Great review. Excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent album. It gives me the chills like when I was a teenager, even today when I'm no longer a teenager. What a wonder!
