The tone of the criticisms makes me withdraw from the discussion. It’s possible that an album is decided upon after many years to raise money, I have my doubts too, but in this case, I repeat, it is mitigated by the fact that they could have recorded the sound of footsteps in the studio and made special editions for Japan, where they are revered. But they didn't do it. 22 years is a long time, and well, that’s that. But someone who invents this sound here without ever reproducing it again must have had their good reasons to reappear. There are pieces of great value. Their personal past as anti-divas is too. That’s enough for me. It makes me feel good. Great like this.

At this point, my day begins, so I’ll pass for any additional comments later. I can understand those who say that 20 years is a long time. And that's it. We are talking about an album that is excellent not because of the name it carries. Only because in this field it is the second to sound like this; there’s no one else. That’s why I "justify" them. It’s not like they’ve proposed the same old tune for five albums in a row. If something else was supposed to come out after Loveless, that’s fine by me. And I don’t think it’s a fan’s perspective. I don’t know. I like to place music primarily within my daily life. This, for how I live, fits perfectly. Maybe I’m a fan of myself :D

I reiterate the question: who wanted them changed, as if they would be expected? The only traces that show evident variations are the last two, and honestly, they are the ones I like the least...

Here, I prefer to remember them this way.

By frequently visiting their lands, I’ve come into close contact with many fans of the band, and today I have a much clearer view. In one word: what a shame! They started off (great), but ended up getting lost who knows where. I prefer to remember them from their first release.

I wanted to make the effort, in the sense that I listened to all their albums, pushing through the layer of annoyance that has always separated me from them. I needed to understand (I did the same for Il Teatro, but Capovilla's work is really a farce, a proper clown act). I also listened to this album. If in the previous ones I managed to find something, at least on the songwriting front (whether cloying or not, Bianconi writes well and is capable of sketching situations so alluring that they guarantee huge results in terms of self-recognition for the listener and therefore sales), I have to say that this one, instead, is really quite heavy. And I imagine that for those who were waiting for it, this album is very pleasing. It seems to me an overly obsessive search for almost spaghetti western atmospheres, in short, a funereal situation reminiscent of those films. In general, it's the music that really annoys me. And in this album, even though the writing is good, the lyrics really make me feel uneasy in my stomach. They just don’t resonate with me in conclusion. They seem like the typical idols (not in form but in substance, like Vasco) of all that mass of people who can't see beyond. It's a shame for those who truly enjoy them.

Then a question: what did those who expected them to change expect?

I am sure it will grow on you with time, for many of you. Honestly, if you don't like it, that's fine, but if you have reservations, keep your ears open and enjoy it because records like this don't come out anymore.

Thank you, passersby. My journey is about to resume, traffic allowing. I hope it lasts for quite a while; I still have those house keys.
