This is a great album to listen to, very reflective and enjoyable. It's not something I put on every day, but every once in a while I find myself playing it all the way through. I saw them live recently as well, and I have to say they've lost some of their old spark. Maybe I should have gone in more prepared. However, when they close the show with an exaggerated Strange Machines... you really think the concert starts there, but it's just the end...

A great review that immediately makes me want to get the album. You've perfectly conveyed the idea of what I'll find inside. I'll gather some strength this weekend and prepare myself for the gut punch...

I don't want to open any disputes :D I've just said it. Certain aspects don't concern me ;) Regards!

The review is very well done. So is the album. Perhaps too calculated. It is so precise in certain passages (also richly "ba-roccheggianti") that it comes off as a bit too, how should I put it, engineering-like, making it feel heavy, despite its great impact and fluidity of sound.

I understand that there are aspects related to bands that I don't share either, but after all, we are talking about music when reviewing an album. It can be great or terrible. I do not consider the "non-musical" aspects of a group at all, especially in the case of Norwegian black metal. I think it's right to stick to comments that are strictly related to the album. Am I wrong?

The tones of my comment were obviously playful, but the ratings reflect what I think. Dave, if you didn't understand what I meant, as Fidias suggests, listen to the album or at least read the tracklist. Regards.

After listening to him, I thought that when I grew up, I wanted to be like Peter Steele. I didn't become like him, but luckily one of my girlfriends had her girlfriend, and before we made a mess of things with three of us, we went for it. Thank you, Pete, truly a great album.
