Of course, I didn’t mean to say that the songs I mentioned are on the same level as Caparezza’s tracks, which are definitely on a different cultural level. I’m just trying to say that I noticed in J.Ax an attempt to write committed pieces, with various hints of social criticism, which is something Caparezza is now doing very well... music is a matter of emotions, it can’t be determined objectively, and this album speaks to me, that’s all I was trying to say...

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree with almost everything you've written; I bought the CD when it was released ten years ago, but I was only ten, and only now listening to it again have I been able to truly understand it; many songs, including "bestie mutanti," which you heavily criticized, or "sputate al re," are songs from which Caparezza (whom I adore) has drawn a lot in terms of lyrics; from an instrumental point of view, the CD is characterized by simple rock, but that doesn't mean it lacks energy—in fact… there are really songs that seem to have been written yesterday ("la nuova stella del pop" seems written for that crap show x factor, or the quotes in "italiano medio," which all seem like very prescient critiques of Italians: unbridled passion for soccer, showgirls, trash TV, and politicians like Silvio). The "canzone del dito" is specifically dedicated to people like you, who criticize J.Ax and DJ Jad just for a renewal of their music (something that fans appreciate very little), but as is clearly felt from the song, they don't care what people think; in this CD, their critique of Italy has fully materialized, a path that, as I mentioned earlier, will then be followed by Caparezza.

But studying a bit of Italian grammar before writing a review, right? Anyway, a masterpiece by the Red Hot that certainly deserves the highest score.

a great one, one of many unjustly forgotten; however, I believe the best thing is to buy the albums to fully understand his sensitivity, the collection is a bit too jumbled, without any order. still a nice review

They are amazing; I had the fortune to attend a concert, and they are three times better live than on the album. They are original, never predictable, and on top of that, they are exceptional musicians. It certainly helps that there are fantastic arrangements, the clarinet is used beautifully, and you can really notice the singer's lyrical culture. It’s truly hard to explain in words. Go to the site where you can listen to the songs from the new album, and if you manage to find it, buy it—you won’t regret it!

First of all, I consider this CD a masterpiece and better than Nuntereggae più; then it doesn't really seem to me that "sei ottavi" is a song to tell children before bedtime, given that the story told is indeed romantic, but revolves entirely around sex and the fact that in the end the girl has to masturbate because her lover won't have sex with her... it doesn't really seem like a fairy tale...

I still disagree with you because a song like "Le Beatitudini" doesn't seem at all "dated" to me, even from a musical point of view, given that it's simply accompanied by a piano... In my opinion, some songs from Ingresso Libero, like "Una Vecchia Che Salta Con L'Asta," could be considered dated as an example; however, I want to emphasize that if we define Gaetano's music as "dated," I don't see it as a negative aspect, because with all the crap music out there in Italy right now, a good amount of "dated" music like this could only improve the quality of what is being proposed to us today... Anyway, I will definitely listen to the songs you recommended... Bye.

I must apologize for what I said about Battisti, dear Iside... I said it knowing I’m not an expert on Lucio. I researched and listened to Battisti's albums and I realized that most of the discography with Mogol reflects the description I gave, but the songs written with that genius Pasquale Panella are about everything except love. Regarding your comment that it sounds "dated" musically, I have to ask what you consider modern music; as I already said, Rino's music was a mix of reggae, rock, and blues, and if that's what you consider "dated," then it's not at all a negative aspect that it's "dated," since the genres I've mentioned (even if they are now out of fashion) are, in my opinion, the most beautiful musical genres.
