Gustavo, I think Agnelli is disliked by many because he represents the archetype of Milan sushi and coke - to put it in an Italian indie way. A wealthy person who in his life had the skill, the luck, and someone who generously supported him behind the scenes to afford the luxury of living off music even when he was nobody.

The problem is not independent - alternative or whatever else. The problem is the product. The problem is beauty and the pursuit of it. In my opinion, there are those who try, there are those who succeed, and there are those who couldn't care less and make the same song for 10 years. And in here, there are valid and beautiful songs (in my opinion), but there are also crap. For example, Benvegnù's song is beautiful and contains all of his identity as an artist; the song by Zu (one of my favorite bands) retains its identity but isn’t that beautiful, while the one by Settlefish could be any song by The Ex. Anyway, hats off to the initiative. They tried. Next time, it will surely be better.
