R.E.M. Around the Sun

The review seems a bit too trivial and obvious to me... regarding the album, I don't think it's bad but it's not a masterpiece either... it ranks in the middle of their discography and I believe it's on the same level as Reveal... anyway, there are some good tracks like The Outsiders and Boy in the Well... I want to emphasize that a mediocre R.E.M. album is better than a great album by other modern bands!!

Well, the album doesn't exactly drive me crazy, but I have to say that a band like them was needed in the music scene... they are wild and when they're pumped up, I enjoy listening to their single... I believe in a thing called love... and I go crazy by myself in the car!!!

I completely agree with the review...great album...it's true that it seems like everything has been heard before, but it's still hard to find someone who can deliver an album so enjoyable from the first to the last song!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you...if you like this album, also listen to Brave from 1994, another masterpiece!!!

Guys, I've been frequenting this site for a short time and I must say I find it very interesting. This is the first time I wanted to leave my comment because I am a devoted fan of the legendary Marillion. I was eagerly waiting for you to review this album, and finally, you did, because it truly is an album that deserves it. Listen to it without thinking about what Marillion did in the past, forget Fish... just listen and tell me... which band in 2004 is able to make an album like this?? Listen to "Invisible Man," "Ocean Clouds," and "Neverland;" they are masterpieces worthy of the best Pink Floyd... on top of these three gems, there are also beautiful tracks that are a bit more "accessible" like "You're Gone," "Angelina," and "Fantastic Place"... listen to Rothery's class on guitar, Hogarth's voice, and Kelly's keyboard atmospheres... with Marbles, guys, you can dream!!! And if you acclaim Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Muse... you can't help but do the same with Marillion!!!!
