White Lies To Lose My Life

The title of the album is the only real reason that might lead me to listen to it again. Let's hope that doesn’t happen.
Okkervil River The Stand Ins

Their masterpieces - but that's just my opinion - Okkervil River produced early in their career ("Don't fall in love with everyone you see," "Down the river of golden dreams," and partly "Black sheep boy"). This seems to me their least compelling album. Nevertheless, they remain one of the crucial bands of the '00s.
Manic Street Preachers Journal For Plague Lovers

Their best album after "The Holy Bible."
Anni Rossi Rockwell

One of the most horrible covers of the decade. She even did a cover of Ace of Base's "Living in danger," but - and that says it all - I prefer the original. The rest didn't impress me either.
Kasabian West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum

Better than Empire, worse than the first. There are some great killer singles, good not only for serving as soundtracks for video games.

I will do it, yes! ;) In my opinion, going back to the discussion about the Manics, I don’t think people either love or hate them. The thing is they've been around for almost 20 (troubled) years: it’s hard to get passionate about them now... It’s easier to rekindle a long-standing passion with an album like this.

Their best album after the Bible. Doors closing slowly and All is vanity are two top-notch pieces. A shout-out to the mopy!
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead Live in Het Depot, Leuven, 11-04-09

Ah, Leuven... I never delved into them as the name would deserve. Hello, bore.

Have you ever seen one of his concerts? He can definitely sing. Rather, it’s the compositional aspect that seems to suffer. But then again, I couldn't care less if a song has seventh chords played behind the back by a super-technical guitarist. I look for something else. De gustibus.
