And of course I discovered her thanks to Trella, to whom I extend my heartfelt thanks! :) Here, anyway, she is really appreciated by everyone, young guys and girls, and those a little less young. On Valentine's Day she performed in Bruges... :( missed it... @vivis: even today, gusty winds and super fast clouds, sun and rain alternating. If the Belgians don’t become schizophrenic...

Thank you all! @trella: meloy is really a big kid, I expected him to be much more serious... @vivis: to be there, I rallied all my friends, used their beds, made them lose their phones... I don't know how grateful they'll be to me... now I'm going on the run in Belgium!...

Thanks for the news, mopa'. The fact that the new album sounds "more rock" gives me hope! I read that juice thing just yesterday: but for some reason, that song has always really evoked the sea for me... my own issues, in fact :) As for the biting definition of "fucking communists, faux-alternatives," colossal, I fear it’s completely misplaced when applied to the Manics, who have always shown to be sufficiently well-versed in political matters and capable of justifying their choices, always debatable but never subject to insult, thanks to a cultural background that is definitely superior to the average rock band.

Well done ghemison, great album. This time of night, love vigilantes, subculture (why don’t you mention it?? it's a masterpiece!) and elegy above all.

Their best thing. Pop for sure, but not trivial (just listen to the always very refined chords), and with style.

Four songs are saved: empire, shoot the runner, british legion, the doberman. Too little.

The donju-grunge that we all prefer.

Seen live, trell? Wow... Yes, they wreck, the Decemberists are more epic, less melancholic, more fairy-tale-like, less sentimental [...a bush running in the desert...] but also less intense, in my opinion. Unbearable? After a hundred listens maybe yes!

Stimulating, as long as it’s not too metal-loving and epileptic...
