Kula Shaker Strangefolk

Well done. Old memories. I must admit that, even though I was a britpop youngster back then, I never really loved Kula Shaker. In fact, Govinda almost annoyed me. So I wasn't really missing them at all. But maybe, given the abandonment of the esoteric drift, I'll give them a listen. I missed The Verve even less. I have a feeling the more solid names will return...

I listened to the samples and already the office feels like a cave. At one point (during the third one?) I heard the voice of a five-headed monkey. Which makes monsieur encre very interesting and very much in line with the cavernous mood of these times. Thank you trella (and sorry for the delay...:)

You've grown up, boy. It turned out to be a memorable page from debaser.

Labyrinthine album, full of surprises, with endless variations. Always original arrangements, very refined sounds. You feel very beck. "What comes at the end," "Washed your car," "Start new," and "Million things" are my favorites. The only flaw is a few too many filler tracks, especially in the second half of the album. Rating 3.5.

@stargazer: I would say it's a bit more complete, less fragmented, so nicer.

A charming debut from the reviewer. Album rated 2.5. I have a friend who is an oboist.

Grant, well, but the review was already there. I was disappointed by this album at the time, except for the first two tracks and "My little empire," which still hold up.

Finally, Albion is back to producing something good. Too bad that the good thing has chosen a terrible name. Forgivable only because by itself, it would be called Samuele Vale-Un-Papero. Well done, Tobby, for the heads up.

Oh, what dark and metropolitan eighties! Well done, Vivis! (recommended book, late '80s turmoil in Rome: Gaetano Cappelli, "floppy disk").

I will listen!
