Indeed yes. In the nineties there was only Republic. Which is great for half.

It's hard to say which is the most successful album by New Order. I wouldn't dive into that, even though it has some memorable tracks (Love Vigilantes, Perfect Kiss, Elegia, Subculture, This Time of Night), but rather point towards "Power, Corruption..." or "Technique" (while certainly "Brotherhood" is the low point), keeping in mind that "Substance" is their hallmark of the eighties. In the nineties, "Get Ready" definitely stands out, and it can even compete with their best work. It's a pity that lately there have been rather sad disputes between Sumner and Hook. The story seems to be quite over, and not in a good way.

No, psycho, I went to London to see London since I had never been there in my eighty-nine years of life. Then I joined a friend... Anyway, seeing the Manics live was one of the things I promised myself I would do before hitting a hundred. By a hair's breadth.

Ah, the girl from Catatonia! Sorry, mopa', I was too far away to recognize her! :) Anyway, she sang with a thin voice, quite weak. I remembered her being more robust, in every way. The guitarist from The Enemy made a guest appearance during You Love Us (or Faster?). But I struggle to focus on who The Enemy are. Anyway. Trella, is it nausea due to the excess of bands in my review or the temperature fluctuations?

Thank you, Ole! No, I got back on Friday: it was a quick visit. Short but intense, I’d say. Oh, the concert is on February 28th, not the 22nd!

Actually, I also think it’s an ultra-autumnal, autistic album, and because of this (since I hate spring) I use it as a spring antidote. Besides, with this cold weather, there’s no need for one anyway... A shout-out to all the de-comment(d)ators!

Heard only the single. There's no debating his ugliness. The record doesn't scream "listen to me," not even with the flattery of bands I care about to some degree (like The Long Blondes, who, in any case, left me with a decidedly negative impression live; maybe it’s because every group sounds like they’re shoved into a toilet bowl at Covo). These 1990s are a Friday three kilometers from my home, but I reckon with twelve euros I’ll just get drunk at the village bar.

One of the many groups I never had the chance to explore in depth. Here it is.

On the same theme, I greatly preferred Fantozzi retires.
