I don’t agree with Pibroch. In my opinion, there are many interesting female songwriters in Italy. However, I wouldn’t give Consoli a medal of honor. Guys, let’s already throw away rankings and classifications.

@Syderus: the beauty of debaser is that it’s an open site. On one hand, this fosters the proliferation of anonymous users whose only goal is to tarnish even well-written pages on the site, but on the other hand, it allows anyone to expand the discussion, add their own input, and infinitely expand it through comments. Often, you’ll notice that the comments are like mini-reviews in their own right. Now, doubling a review means sharing nothing more than that one cd. And that is a mistake. Debaser should, through the knowledge and credibility of its non-professional reviewers, allow for the discovery and sharing of as much sound material as possible, preferably of quality. If a review (even a well-written one) states what many have already approved and verified, what’s the point of writing another with similar characteristics? Personally, I don’t read 8 reviews on Octavarius; one review plus the comments (and the trust that those commenting have earned) is enough for me to form an idea... at most, I might check a different site in a different environment. Now, who hasn’t heard Wish you were here? Imagine if each of us wrote a review for it!! Without taking anything away from the excellent work of the reviewer, wouldn’t it have sufficed to argue one of the 5 reviews already written?

As for Consoli: she tends to victimize the figure of women in a changing world... today her lyrics (the little I've heard from her... and I don't like it!) still revolve around female oppression, disrespect, and abandonment. A world seen through overly biased eyes. Musically uninteresting and a discouraging voice. Try listening to Lalli. Bye

@Ashanti: it is evident that you are the ignorant one when you claim that Italian music is crap. It is also evident that you have never bothered to verify the truth of such certainty. It is also clear that you are spoon-fed by what the market proposes without making an effort to see what Italy truly offers in music. It makes me angry to hear such things... out of preconceived notions. If by Italian music you mean what is seen on TV or radio... well... okay. Keeping in mind that there are also disgusting things abroad! The question is, though: have you ever tried to search for quality Italian music? If not, you can start with the bands I suggest in my reviews. Nothing personal, but let’s not talk nonsense!

Regarding the A and B series review, I agree with Zara. This record was mistakenly reviewed twice already, and both times, in different styles, they converge in defining it a small gem. The moderators of Deb, when writing the review, specify to check if there are already reviews of the same record to avoid duplicates; in that case, comments exist. I don't think the length is an issue, but be careful not to "twist it" too much. As for me, I have fully expressed in my review everything I had to say about this masterpiece. Goodbye.
Alan Parsons Try Anything Once

Great album! In the pop-rock genre, it's a big reunion of the old Parsons without the project. However, the sounds fall into the classic cliché that good Parsons has accustomed us to, to the point that at the beginning of each track (if you know the author's work) it's easy to guess its evolution (perhaps a bit more interesting than this album is Freudian). Stunning "turn it up." Great album, very Wolfson-Parsons. Nice review.

Just to point out that this is the 5th review of the album! As far as I can understand the validity of the work... but when you write reviews, you should check if someone else has already done it (it's in Deb's requests to avoid duplicates). Now, if you don't like a review because it speaks poorly of the album, I believe it can be rewritten... but for the rest, there's the possibility to comment. Please let's avoid writing over each other!
