Yes, with everything he wrote and SUNG (wow, it’s strange that he escaped excommunication!!). He was a little genius. Anyway, Valor also defended himself at the helm of Christian Death, exponentially changing the target and diving into a sound more Hendrixian in nature. Greetings, my dark-hearted colleague (at this point I can say it :).

True Mary, true. On the same dimension in the same pearl of intimacy. Mary...the soul you whisper to me...

Hi Tyler... yes, I missed the review of this CD. A true masterpiece of gothic dark. In the judgment of the speaker, it stands a notch above the mentioned groups. Elizium is splendid. McCoy sings with a melody that doesn't belong to other albums, and in his lyrics, esoteric madness takes shape and expression. Musically, the album is perfect. Psychedelic and dark, but without vocal aggression. Splendid. Beautiful review. Oops, I almost forgot, back then there was another wrenching masterpiece, less musically valuable, but absolutely unsettling for a band that made the church tremble (they burned their records in the square if you remember well). This would be Christian Death by Rozz Williams with Only Theatre of Pain. Who remembers them? Who remembers Valor and Gitane Demone?
P.S.: since I had the spectacular Elizium on cassette... could you make me a copy(bip)...? :)

Whoever can finally reinterpret that artistic intimacy, copying it and enriching it with their own feelings, is, in the opinion of the writer, no less talented and brilliant than the one who originally presents it. Sorry for the lengthiness :P

Finally, guys, we can never be certain if the "crumbs of sweetness" can be found in what we have known. What is sweet for me may not resonate with others. In fact, in music as in personal choices, everyone seeks what aligns with their own feelings (which is sweet by definition...Mary...the soul you whisper to me about). This is what Sylvian himself affirms in his ascetic journey. Now, feeling is a small pearl of personal intimacy. This intimacy is thrown out by an artist and caught by those who wish to feel it within themselves, but beware! This intimacy is reworked and readjusted according to the stylistic norms of those who receive it (therefore diverted from the original intent as it is reinterpreted). The fact that I, Antonio, and Mary listen to and are captivated by Sylvian does not mean that that crumb of sweetness is identical (neither among us nor with DS). For this reason, man knows how to be unique...and a wonderful creature...unique in a universe of intimacy.

mariaelena, don’t make the mistake of speaking while downplaying the role of others. Not everyone seeks banality. Often, it is just a product of a moment, a period. In life, there is a time for everything (I quote the sacred texts), and it would be wrong to choose a path to follow beforehand. As you yourself assert, man is multifaceted; sometimes he follows one path, other times he shifts to completely opposite logics. It's indisputable that DS and PG are artists with innate talent, but often the art they propose, experienced through the skin of those who listen to them, can undergo fascinating transformations... even from those with less talent. For instance, Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree didn’t invent a genre; he simply expanded it like no one before him. One cannot deny Wilson’s monstrous talent, yet he has always lived in the shadow of Pink Floyd. Smith has simply exhausted his artistic vein... after all, he is constrained by the majors. How many times have we read that the Cure were on the verge of breaking up? Too many. This means that the initial motivations had run dry. Anyone forced into writing ends up either not writing or writing poorly. The famous clones can be brilliant (please listen to Panunzi... Marco Parente in Neve Ridens Part 1, and come tell me what you think of these "shadows of the master").

As far as I’m concerned, I asked you to check out my reviews simply because, since people claim that Italian music is all rubbish, I wanted to explore whether this was truly the case. My effort is to create (striving to be constructive and not just relying on prejudice) a space where those who want to listen to quality Italian music can find valid references (hopefully). This is not arrogance; rather, it is putting myself at the service of the Deb community in order to showcase, TO THOSE WHO WANT IT, the good things I manage to find in Italy (spending). No one is forcing you to participate in this, but at least have the decency not to make absolute judgments. For the rest, I apologize if I unintentionally offended you. It really wasn’t my intention... it was meant to be a call for us to engage in some reasoning together, even with differing views. A hug.

In Italy, we often dare ourselves permission to speak out of sport without considering the weight that words carry. This problem pertains to all possible topics...from politics to sports to music. It's crazy how we tend to generalize everything, elevating ourselves to sophists and masters of absolute knowledge without the slightest doubt (in a world of shit music.. (the Italian one) doesn't raise doubts as a statement, but it means it is what it is!)... Provided that you KNOW national music to such an extent that you can downgrade it all to shit (otherwise, you shouldn't be able to judge our music so harshly and without the possibility of error), what bothers me is the summary process that is made of it. Now you're right when you tell me that you don't know me. Indeed, that's true. But from what you've written, one can draw evidences that are different from knowledge; just read deductive reasoning or deductive presumption (and the reasoning underlying that I've just laid out). If this is not the case, I am the first to ask you for FORGIVENESS (with all my heart...and I'm not joking), but in that case, I ask you to pay attention to what you write.

..."wants to act all high and mighty, being the 'cultured' 'educated' girl to seem alternative in a world of shitty music... (that is, Italian)"...
Forgive my bluntness, but this sentence is well-structured, and the meaning doesn't seem to leave room for other interpretations. This means that all Italian music is crap (I translate literally). Your later correction is a contradiction to what you had just stated (you're hedging in response to my prompt). This is a fact (if I'm misinterpreting, please correct me). I don’t brag about listening to universally recognized music nor do I feel arrogant about it. But when you claim that Italian music is crap (you could have at least said: "it's my opinion that"), it drives me so mad that I feel justified in asking you (rightfully) if you really know what you're talking about.

exactly Syd, exactly. As for the rest, a comment would suffice. Now this review confirms without providing any "new" material. I understand the reviewer's passion in wanting to pay tribute to the Pink, but this is already abundantly present. The review adds nothing, it stalls in the usual nooks...nothing, except for passion, would justify its existence. As for Curtis...well...WOW...tell us everything!!!!!!! :)
