Primus Sailing the Seas of Cheese

Hi teskyo...no no, forgive me, don't misunderstand me...no one is questioning Andy and Herb. What I wanted to say is that, probably, this group wouldn't have "gone down in history" without what Les created...in my deep ignorance of musical matters, I believe that only Les has a sound like that, along with his natural musical imagination (see the Oysterhead group composed of Les, Copeland, and the guitarist from Fugazi, which has a sound similar, in some tracks, to that of Primus. Even though the album is significantly inferior!). That's all, and sorry if I expressed myself poorly. :)

I join the chorus and admit that "sailing" is an out-of-the-box album... I love the experimentation and the idea of making tracks "roar" that would otherwise follow a more mundane template is excellent. It’s a masterpiece, no doubt about it. Just one note and one question: The Primus are Les... meaning it seems to me that this group is just a big sponsorship for one of the most imaginative bassists I know. Great job LaFine :)

From Puglia we experiment with a split review: a piece for you and one for me ghghghgh you know what comes out! ;)

Dear Puglia, I believe I can assure you that you’re on the right track! The album is beautiful, although it can get a bit tiring after a while. But Di Marco is exceptional with that voice that straddles the feminine and the masculine (a.k.a. leaning towards contralto)... trust me, it’s very beautiful and interesting.. :) That album is like a painting... many shades in a minimal mixture of great impact... come on, listen to it and then I expect an excellent review, okay? A hug... Logic

I don't know how to judge this album! At times it convinces with its minimalism, but the feeling is that something is missing... I don't know... it's like a well-aged red wine that you know is good and vintage, but it has an acetic aftertaste that ruins the pleasure on the palate! In the long run, you prefer to change the bottle! I believe the essence of Puglia's excellent review is this... interesting but not essential (and above all, not very long-lasting!). Personally, I find Di Marco's piece wonderful, which I adore! Great job Puglia, it would have been hard to write it better :)

You’re right Vana, I’ll take care of it right away during breaks at work :).
Bark Psychosis Hex
Voto:
Dear Puglia, the second of the Bark isn't exactly bad... but... they've lost a lot! First of all, the band! Only one is left trying to capitalize on the meager brand. The new CD is like drum and bass with sporadic peaks. The feeling you get when facing Hex and Codename Dustsucker is: "MHA MAH MAH what is this stuff? But it's the same group... bleahh how did they manage that!!!!!" and then after many listens "well, in the end, it’s not that bad... but they could have at least changed the name so it wouldn't discredit the masterpiece HEX"... that's what you feel when comparing them. Codename can easily be set aside... what a pity, but those few jolts aren’t enough to straighten out an album born under a spotlight that's too powerful: HEX. is that all? that's all! ciauuz

I am very happy if, after several days since the publication date, these 4 scarce lines are still able to reach YOU. I am pleased to have proposed something beautiful that, starting from my very personal opinion and feeling, has arrived in different homes and has been well received... it truly makes me happy :).
The beauty is that, even without knowing each other, an invisible thread is created that binds us through the usual 7 vibrant notes. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN AND ONCE MORE :)
