H. you hit the mark. No sports competition, no points ranking, no "this is better than that." Too often, in some comments I’ve read on this site, you see the phrase: "I can't stand Italian music... I don't even consider Italian music" ... and so on (I’ll spare you the copy and paste for lack of time, forgive me). This review is the answer to these prejudices. Our music is capable of presenting artists with technical brilliance and an attentive ear for melodies. Rediscovering our musical roots and contaminating them with rock and electronic elements is a sign that our music is becoming more European while maintaining its historical identity. This album is a wonderful example of that. This review aims to say that there is, in Italy, quality music that can be exported all over the globe regardless of the questionable taste for Ramazzotti's music!!!!
Hi guys

Dear Kosmo,
It's nice to know that you found this record interesting. I know it's not a masterpiece, but it's good to support those in Italy trying to follow a different path. Thank you, Kosmo, because every one of your contributions on this site warms the heart. It’s nice to know that among so many critics just looking to hurt themselves and ridicule each other, there are people willing to share a common passion. PS: I'm not hitting on you! :) I just wanted to express my thoughts and thank you for what you show yourself to be. Best regards....LOGIC :)

Iko, I hope to read you again.... accept the night as part of the whole, live it because it is part of you. Perhaps in the dark I have a greater chance of communicating with myself because I don't need the image and can be in the company of my feelings. It's like making love with the lights off.... one allows space for their incorporeality, for being soul in our spasmodic physicality, for our being matter at all costs. With affection, Logic

Hi Kosmo, sorry for not getting back to you but I'm only just logging in after ages. Yes, I've listened to the new Bark, or what's left of it, but it's hard to savor the grappa when the taste is already intoxicated by the goodness of the sweet wine. I'm sorry, but that album doesn't manage to get me drunk on itself. A hug Kosmo and thanks for reminding me. Affectionately, Logic :)

Dear Iko, this is the first time I'm commenting on one of your reviews... actually, I'm not commenting. I just wanted to leave my signature on this emotional and moving page. Your feelings expand until they reach my very personal introspection, and from there a virtual embrace begins, like a river flowing to bring its self into the great sea. Thank you, Iko, thank you, sea.
Franco Battiato Dieci Stratagemmi
Voto:
In Battiato, music is merely the accompaniment to the lyrics... and the lyrics mark the cadence of human rationality and passion. Battiato is not a singer, he is not a man, he is a universe in which one can get lost to rediscover the essence of humanity. This "troubled" album is as powerful as a wave crashing on the shore... it makes noise if you are ready to listen, to feel its desperate roar of hope, but at the same time, it risks going unnoticed if we adapt our feelings to that natural roar. Excellent review for an excellent album. Congratulations! :)

Dear Zuc, you have just reaffirmed what we had already established... your comment is perfectly in line with what we had presented. The PF truly become session men, in my opinion, already with Animals, and RW unleashes his genius... that continues until the EXALTED Amused to Death (a true masterpiece of RW's production)... but this is, as always, a personal opinion. Bye and enjoy your stay, Zuc :)

PS2: If you like this album, I recommend listening to Bark Psychosis "HEX," for which I wrote a review.....the school is made in Talk Talk....the natural offspring of that ferment. :)

A record of rare beauty... an ascetic vision from Hollis that he would carry into Laughing Stock and his elusive, unique post-mortem solo album from Talk Talk. Very few bands go through the journey of Talk Talk, or often do it in reverse (that is, they experiment and then embrace the market). Talk Talk (kicked off their label that wanted them to be trapped in "such and shame" for life... I believe it was EMI) stripped away their frivolity, a path already partially visible in "The Colour of Spring," to embrace musical disintegration, or rather, to create music in harmony with the inner world, with their own way of feeling. These choices come at a high price, but today, it seems to me that these wonderful "alternative" records are remembered much more than the sterile pop songs of the '80s. Pioneers back then, great today! Great review and great choice. Ah, finally, "Welth" is wonderful, poignant, spiritual... a dream that alone is worth an entire album : ). Byez
