Roger Waters Leaving Beirut/To Kill The Child
Voto:
Someone who places a gong in line with the sun and sends punches directly at it, I (personally) call him a "genius of metaphor." Roger may be annoying, he may not be liked, and it can be said that he sounds like a monkey... but when we take a look at his discography, we have to acknowledge the musical intelligence he has managed to inject into the global music scene. His solo production is anything but garbage... albums like Amused to Death put albums like The Division Bell by the esthete Gilmour to shame... and we cannot overlook Waters' authorship of the stage-theatrical music of Pink Floyd (the spectacle of The Wall is the result of his genius).

"I recommend you follow the advice of Blasco... try to find THE MEANING of the crap you write..." (I quote from an anonymous source and add.... :) even if it DOESN'T HAVE A MEANING!..... Vasco himself says so.....

So, I don't remember the name of the cemetery, but it's the same one where Jim Morrison's and Chopin's graves are located... the main reason for my pilgrimage. Then, while wandering around, I saw that tomb, I jumped for joy and asked a friend of mine to take a picture for me... TANA FOR THE DCD IN THE CEMETERY OF PARIS! :)

mmmmmh...when I listen to these bands I get a sense of déjà vu. I imagine cool singers in front of cameras dancing their "victimhood" of society, guitarists trying to make the chord progression sound like the "solo of the century," clumsy drummers flexing their improbable muscles, bored bassists with a cigarette in their mouth, videos of "fatal" women stabbing our heroes in the back or images of inner suffering, the feast of the obvious in short. But often when you turn the camera there's just a producer packaging the "human" product in a way that pleases the listeners. I won't be listening to this album....I think there are already too many versions of the same thing floating around the globe. Ciauz a tutti :) Logic

ooooooooooo! Finally someone has done it! Finally a review of the album, in my opinion, the most beautiful and evocative by the DCD. Just think that the tomb is in the cemetery of Paris, and while strolling around there, I took a picture with it. Imagine how the passersby looked at me in disbelief, thinking about my love for the dark and death. I, on the contrary, was just collecting an unforgettable souvenir :). A MUST-HAVE ALBUM for those who make darkness and goth their way of life... but also a must-have for anyone who can appreciate its character as a "work of art" in music.
Faith No More The Real Thing

undeniably a great album....perhaps a bit tiring in the long run, but definitely a "must" of the genre and of both past and present times. An example of how to skillfully mix not only different musical genres, but above all one's own ability with the desire and creative imagination (the latter increasingly rare, increasingly rare....sigh). Nice guys, see you later.

I love the Ferretti-Zamboni duo. I love Ferretti's lyrics that can be interpreted even without the music... I adore "stati di agitazione," I love the bold provocation that Ferretti has never stopped perpetuating against the "civilized" world that is "comfortable, yes, but how to say, little satisfaction." So what is there left to say if not "spara yuri spara?" Great CCCP...great.

This review sounds a bit like your self-praise (as does the site) and, frankly, it feels very little "sad." However, it's not necessarily important to be "sad" to produce and experience quality music...but the fact that the site is full of your photos and poems (I assume you wrote them) makes all your creative energy seem like self-celebration. This is not a criticism, forgive me if it sounds like it...it's more of a "tip" because that's how everything appears...deeply personal and narcissistic at the same time. Anyway, I would like to download some mp3s and I would like you to recommend some tracks...I don't know where to start. A hug Alberto :) LOGIC
Marco Paolini E Mercanti Di Liquore Sputi
Voto:
Intrigued by your review and the fact that I adore Marco Paolini, I felt "forced" to get a copy of this "sputi." A veeeeery interesting album, free of various technicalities and packed with substance when it comes to the lyrics. Paolini, then, is magnificent in his theatrical art... definitely groundbreaking, an absolutely fantastic character. The album is minimalist, and the music leaves space for the strong and ironic lyrics at the same time. More than an album, it's a real concept disc, almost an Italian the wall! A great recommendation for those who know how to listen, a missed theatrical work (it lacks the visual support), an intense work just like Paolini is intense. Ciauz and thank youuuuu. Logic

Weee if you need a travel companion, I'd gladly join... I wanted to put an entire track on (actually more than one) without altering the audio quality... do you think, since the band is unreachable in Italy, it can be done? Is it legal? Let me know, anyway I'll give it a try... worst case, I'll end up in jail!! :(
