Franco Battiato Gommalacca
Voto:
beautiful review.... I love the introduction about the changing world and I agree. Reality shows are more like brain death than mere entertainment. Battiato doesn't let himself be fooled and doesn't let himself be steered "by the neon signs." He searches within because man grows if he never stops understanding. A beautiful review for a great, but not the only, Italian artist.

Dear Francis, I still don’t understand. You literally put Jeff Buckley down and then claim that RW is the one who ideally carries on Cohen's legacy. I respect your opinions and your way of feeling, but I find it hard to grasp your methods of comparison. It almost seems like there’s an unconscious will to create "the debate," or that your review, although well-written, aims for a scoop-like quality. For the rest, you, and only you, are the master of your tastes, which I may not appreciate... but that’s a whole different story. Ciauz.

Hello Agata, welcome to this site. I didn’t expect this review to receive comments, especially since Dzem hasn’t really made it in Italy. Thank you for stopping by and for leaving your contribution. Big kiss :)
Omnia Opera Red Shift
Voto:
The first album by Omnia is beautiful, even though it’s recorded terribly!!!! Damn, the sound engineer really didn’t understand anything, the sound is muffled and it’s hard to appreciate the atmospheres they create. Nevertheless, it’s a great product. I’ve been chasing this Red Shift but I can't find it anywhere, would a kind soul make a copy for me? PS: since I already have the first one, I’d obviously compensate with a copy... what they say is a fair exchange and equal opportunities. :) LET ME KNOW :) PS: I'm voting on trust, knowing the Omnia Opera.
Ozric Tentacles Strangeitude

Open if you can find them, and I don't think you will, try listening to Omnia Opera with their first album (omnia opera indeed) and the second one Red Shift (of which you can also find a de-review with de-samples). Also, if you can find them, and I don't think you will, try Mandragora with Head First... these bands are born under the sign of Ozric-inspired space rock. Be careful because there is more than one band called Mandragora, so pay attention to the album name. Finally, take a look at Porcupine Tree (I would recommend the double live album Coma Divine) which is not exactly space rock, but if you like the genre you should enjoy it. OK, I’ve saturated you enough... come on, get to searching for these CDs! :D
Casino Royale Sempre più vicini
Voto:
Absolutely groundbreaking and preparatory for Italian groups that today boast greater success. In my opinion, it was little understood at the time of its release. One of the most beautiful albums of Casino, second only, in my view, to CRX. Passionate yet concise review, a few more words wouldn’t have hurt. Bye :)
Ivan Graziani Pigro
Voto:
Beautiful review, Grass. Fantastic Ivan, sharp and very, very Hendrix in some songs (think of the guitarist). Regarding the debate about "new shine" music and, moreover, Italian music, allow me to say that there is excellent stuff out there that does not pale in comparison to what has been heard in the past. Grass, try listening to Lino Cannavacciuolo (there's a review of mine on Debaser) for example, or the MAGNIFICENT Epsilon Indi (which I will review one day)... they are true GEMS. Sublime music that combines experimentation with melody. They don't get airplay on the radio, and that's a sign of quality. Grass, also listen to Nosound (review with samples on Debaser)... there's great music in these years.

Of course, I'm referring to this passage... "and quotations from a God who is never tired of embracing an indefinite number of martyrs"..... Hi and sorry for the intrusion :)

Hi AXL, in fact the translation leads to a meaning that is diametrically opposed to what was implied in the review, and Sylvian is, notoriously, not racist towards Muslims (what sense would his path towards the light have otherwise? And the personal guru? :D). I don't feel offended by what was implied in the review, and it would have been a shame to ruin an assessment that, on the contrary, is very precise and well done. I would suggest to the little ones to change that statement in order to avoid misunderstandings. Thanks for the reply AXL :)
