See Mario, life is a stage of minds, and reality shows are a stage. This is the difference. Reality has an end, which is death. But between birth and death, the paths that can be taken are virtually manifold. In reality shows, there is no choice. Everything is already provided. All one has to do is play their part. That’s where the deception lies, in making something that is not true appear real. What do they offer you instead? Who comes out disfigured? The human being. In other words, man is born to eat, sleep, have sex if he can (a moment of audience delirium), argue, and defecate. Man assimilated to the beast! In all this, there is no promotion of an intellectual line (deb has it, at least, even if these pages of gratuitous violence are identical to the island) which is, in fact, the FULCRUM of being human. Reality shows are like the little tale told to make you sleep and give you the illusion of a different world... and they say: Sleep... Sleep... Sleep.

See Kosmo, the point is that de-b is more reality than the official or so-called reality shows. Behind Deb, there are real people not paid to do things, in some ways dictated by a "director." Deb is pure reality. But if we examine life as a whole, it's a reality as the present is much more difficult than what happens on an island. The island seems to be an alienating microcosm, but if we think about our daily lives, our microcosm is much more lonely and alienating (and Deb is). Everything starts from a fake confrontation that doesn’t foster growth, leveraging the natural human voyeuristic instinct (the pleasure in turning man into beast). Video games have thought of this as well (think of the success of The Sims and its raunchy successors). The same war in Iraq was promoted as a “great reality show” (think of the news that dishes out images taken "from the pain of others" and in the morbid pleasure of presenting them). The problem is that these programs immerse us, shifting attention from understanding real reality to suggesting a pseudo-reality. The result is making things that are not natural in reality seem natural. The outcome is trading off understanding and human growth for a preordained recipe. It’s the same as eating a lasagna made by mom or buying a frozen one, both real but with opposite variables. Man has many more qualities than they would have us believe. Moreover, these media phenomena often serve to divert attention from real problems and lower the population's anxiety levels. Think of Cogne, a reality that appears ad hoc always in connection with something serious. Okay, I've bored you, I’ll stop and return to my oppressive reality: work!

Hi Nobody, it’s a pleasure to read you again :) It would be nice if you could "authenticate" yourself... I believe the site would greatly benefit from it (I’m serious). I confirm that the subsequent albums were a bit subpar, especially the farewell one. Finally, it seems that Eldricht had no intention of singing (at least at first) and was focused on playing the drums (I remember this little story regarding SOM). The best female voice in the dark scene at the time belonged to Gitane Demon, don’t you agree, guys? Today the album still sounds dated, but Temple of Love really gives me a boost :).
If you like this CD, check out Elizium by Fields of Nephilim (a true masterpiece in the dark scene). Ciauz

I listened to this album. A must for the dark ones of the era along with Field of Nephilim and Christian Death. A really nice album. Then I loved the missions of children. Ciauz

Thank you. Obviously, the names come to me little by little... the less I think about it, the more I come up with :P ...Italy has been too often underrated (not by you) because it has always been identified with Vasco Rossi, Ligabue, and so on. Download those tracks from the sites I mentioned; you won't be disappointed. PS: I deliberately left out jazz musicians. Bye and... enjoy listening!

Hi Nobody, and thanks for the reply. I knew you wouldn't interpret my observation as an "attack." On this site, there are various reviews of valid Italian groups and authors, many of whom don't fall into the jazz genre. In the singer-songwriter scene, try listening to Juri Camisasca, for example, Cesare Basile, Lalli, Ginevra Di Marco, Corman. In the ambient rock scene, I would recommend the excellent EPSILON INDI, Nosound, Giardini di Mirò, Stefano Panunzi (in this regard, check the RES music website where you can listen to some samples), Lino Cannavacciuolo (this one is truly beautiful), Beppe Barra, Sig V, Klimt 1918, bachi da pietra, chiave di volta, Giorgio Binda, neoismo di cosmozen, Nicola Alesini, Andrea Chimenti, Mercanti di liquore, Punch and Judy, and so on. PS: for the epsilon indi, you can download some tracks from their site: www.epsilonindi.it/ you should like them. I don’t know your taste, but try taking a look at something. Cannavacciuolo and Epsilon above all. For the others, you will find reviews and some samples on de-baser. Cheers and let me know :)

True, sorry Francis, but my comment was linked to a parallel between RW and Jeff B. The point is that RW evokes memories of characters of a certain caliber in you, while JB does not. I repeat, there’s nothing wrong if you don’t see anything interesting in JB, but I really cannot understand how one can objectively (and not subjectively) praise one and downplay the talent of the other. In short, I can’t follow your comparison metric. This shouldn’t be taken as a criticism of your way of feeling, rather as a reflection of my inability to comprehend it. The person writing to you is not a fan of JB; I think I’ve listened to him about twice, but what I heard left me speechless. In "Grace" there is a sense of personal incompleteness and loneliness that I don't feel in the songs I've listened to by RW. Let me explain better: an RW album is listened to in peace, but not because it leaves a mark on your life. JB also winks at Cohen, but it’s unclear why he feels less impactful to you compared to RW. I would be more inclined to picture JB in line with Cohen than RW. As for the rest, RW is a great showman with good songs and nothing more. Finally, I appreciate your thoughts and your review... but I still believe there is a deliberate scooping desire. With genuine affection and my deepest respect. Logic :)

in complete disagreement with nobody "about the stifling Italian landscape." I reiterate that Italian music is far from stifling; it is in full bloom and offers a lot. It's up to you to look into the truly stifling radio panorama! After all, if I don't know an Italian book, I don't claim that there are no noteworthy writers in Italy; rather, I seek to understand whether it's a matter of "lack of publicity" rather than "lack of skill, talent, and imagination." I don’t want to criticize you, Nobody, out of prejudice, but I wonder if you have ever truly searched for high-level music by Italian artists. Considering the market, it might make one want to tear their hair out, for sure, but just stepping into a well-stocked record store reveals that the landscape is much more vibrant and worthy than it's painted to be. Bye and forgive me for the discourse. :P
