I support Psycho's last comment, it's a really great album...musically very valid even though I find the singing a bit lacking in vocal range (sometimes definitely off-key).

Hi Mimmo... I read your last reply with interest. Serendipity is, after all, a less bold record than Dracula and definitely less interesting. The music on that album draws a bit from everywhere in the Italian landscape...starting from "gira nel mio cerchio" by Litfiba. A decent CD but not at high levels (if you like Italian prog, take a look at Chiave Di Volta, the latest from C.A.P., La torre dell'alchimista and UBI MAIOR... really interesting contemporary records). Dracula is much more prog than Serendipity, it's musically much more complex and, above all, in the lyrics. FOR CECE: Dracula is actually more of a concept disc than a rock opera. A prog concept rather than a symphonic work. Really beautiful... so take a look at it.

I find it very interesting to vote with a descending climax on the cd that miraculously goes from 2 to 1! (1 pfm vs Cremonini 4). Does it mean you've changed your mind? I think one judgment is more than enough, don’t you? You could have just put 1 from the start. Setting aside the fact that the vote is worth no more than air and that voting has always driven me crazy, I find it picturesque the desire to eradicate this disc concept at all costs. Tastes are tastes, you’ve expressed your judgment, so let others express theirs. Ciauuuuz

So let me understand one thing: Cremonini's "Sardegna" and its production on the latest album is rated a 4, and Dracula gets a 2? You claim that the recipe for the future in Italy is left to "..since Senna is gone..." and that PFM's album is the scarcest thing heard in recent times? You compare this CD to Notre Dame and talk about miracles with Maggese? Have you been carried away by the lyrics WELL HIGHLIGHTED by the music, or did you listen to the album casually hoping for an instant orgasm of easy consumption? Gentlemen, we are facing a well-crafted album that combines melodic Italian tradition with orchestrations and progressive rock. With music that constantly evolves and with dynamics in full bloom. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but come on, let yourself go to the album... really listen to it and don’t just look for THE TRACK that drives you into frenzy. It’s a work to be appreciated as a whole, not a collage of songs. (I’m not angry hehehe, it’s just that I don’t see the logic in some statements). PS: It feels like Francis saying Robbie Williams is a genius and Jeff Buckley a fraud!!!). Sorry Zai, but I just can't follow you! Bye :)

For all the DCD fans, I want to let you know that a Roman group called Epsilon Indi used to produce music that you would have loved very much (they have since disbanded). Look for their records if you can find them. Also, check out This Mortal Coil.
