Superb album! I love the '70s and its performers. Great emotions and a free reign of genius, not just simple tunes! This album by Battisti, I personally compare to Pink Floyd (it's not the same) for what it did for Italian music. Guys, Italian music is spectacular! There's a crazy fervor in the underground... try listening to Anatrofobia, Stereokimono, etc. these people continue to believe in our infinite abilities. As for anima latina, well, the only word that comes to mind is EPIC. 5, 5 and again 5!

The introductory part of the review is excellent, where you explain the Carmina Burana very well. More difficult is the explanation of the "concept," which undoubtedly requires further exploration. The only "fortuna imperatrix mundi," which serves as a splendid opening, has a text worth contemplating (it seems to echo the hypnerotomachia poliphili!). The same fortuna imperatrix mundi was used as the soundtrack for one of the most beautiful films about King Arthur: "excalibur." A wonderful, powerful, evocative album, with dizzying crescendos, a true masterpiece of 20th-century art. From my being arises a single vote: 5, 5, and again 5.

Ah traveler, finally, try to find the debut album by Stefano Panunzi (available for purchase and partially listenable on the RES music website) which is truly a gem. You can easily listen to it online and, if it sparks your mood, buy it. Thanks again to you :)

Greetings to you, traveler. This CD is very different from the excellent Cannavacciuolo. These are emerging artists who share their craft (which is present) to make themselves known. But the genre is absolutely different. If you enjoyed Cannavacciuolo (of which I also invite you to listen to AQUADIA and CA' NA', the latter being easier to find), try looking for the Epsilon Indi (a now-defunct Roman group) that you can find on their website, as well as Peppe Barra with the CD Guerra (truly splendid). Thank you for your appreciation and trust... I can only embrace you and wish you a good listening experience. :)

Wonderful album and perfectly in line with The Wall and Final Cut... one could easily define them as a trilogy. The concept is, in fact, very interesting. It concerns yet another individual battle with oneself... what to choose then? The wife sleeping next to you or the intimate "urges" of the id pushing you towards a completely natural calling? RW doesn't provide an answer... everything is attributable to subjectivity and the malaise that the human being carries with them. It reminds me of when in The Wall Pink asks his mother if the prostitute in front of him is good enough for him. Same wall, same malaise... nothing is different from the other two albums. A continuum... a concept of no less than 4 CDs! Absolutely fantastic in the judgment of the writer. 5, 5 and again 5 :)

Hi Fidia, and thanks for the reply. There's a Polish band that's all substance. We're not in the metal genre, but still, give this real gem a listen. The band is called Indukti, and the album is S.U.S.A.R. You'll find my review on this site and a link to download something... check it out. In the photo, they look bad... but how they sound!!!! From the images on the site, it seems to me that this is the classic USA product: MACHO, SEXYTROIA, IMPERIALIST, ALLBULGINGMUSCLE and FEWPALES and HARLEYDAVIDSON. The pretty (?) Veronica looks just like an escort and maybe she was making more money that way... but then again, she’s not such a wonder... let’s just say she’s also crafted to perfection! Here are the fake rebels, the fake bad boys, the fake transgressives... a mush of nothingness. Imagine, I’m only talking about the photos! Anyway, good review that questions what the merchant wants to sell as pure gold. :)
