Hi Dante... I encourage you to buy the CD because the mp3 downloads don't really convey the care put into the album (they're of poor quality as Ego explains). Thank you for the positive comment and..... enjoy listening :)

I know Blackfield... a dark-pop version of Porcupine Tree. The album is very beautiful. Try checking out the very Italian Stereokimono with their CD "prismosfera".... truly remarkable!!! :)

Hellooo Odra....:) Campaign for Italian music 2006 :)
Belfagor: true, although thanks to the internet, soon Sanremo will be the real underground!! Let's hope! Forgive my impatience...the fact is that my insides get all twisted when I see Italian music being dismissed, and often people tend to overlook it (just because it’s Italian). I highly recommend the album by Stereokimono "Prismosfera"...truly excellent in the style of "RE CREMISI" mixed with space-rock (rigorously experimental and instrumental...played divinely). Here’s the link so you can listen to something: stereokimono.com If you're looking for something more melodic, you can’t go wrong with Finisterre "la meccanica naturale." Among my reviews, you'll find substantial samples of Italian bands...take a look.
Forgive me again for my impatience that dear Odra knows well. A hug, my friends.

Is the creative vein in Italy extinguished? Do you really believe that? It’s funny because I fully appreciated the underground scene. It's not true. Italy is rich in masterpieces... want well-played space rock? Get the Stereokimono... want post-rock? Turn to Nosound... want prog? I recommend La Maschera Di Cera... want metal? IV LUNA is for you... metal prog? A Piedi Nudi are fabulous... want a pseudo Pink Floyd? SIG V is right for you... World music? No problem, Lino Cannavacciuolo is pure wonder! And also: Randone, Finisterre, Klimt 1918, The Dust, Chiave di Volta, CAP, Effetto Doppler, Giulio Casale, Katrienne, Neoismo, etc. Italian music needs sponsorship, it's up to us to provide it. :)

Hi Odra, undoubtedly glam is not my thing... that said, the tracks available for download are quite poorly recorded (meaning that listening to them from the CD offers significantly better quality). I can’t understand why they chose to put low-quality tracks on the band's own website (I would have uploaded the entire CD for download in high quality!!). I mentioned that glam isn't my genre, but lately, I've been looking for Italian music of all kinds, almost to support the idea that there’s plenty of good stuff for every taste. The top rating was given because the CD is very enjoyable to listen to and is also fairly long-lasting and well-produced. Considering they are emerging artists (meaning not professionals) with a lot of passion and taste, I can’t give them anything less than a full 5. It's a matter of heart and ā€œsupportā€ for these deserving young talents. Hi and thanks for the clarification :)

It's a shame that these characters represent the wonderful Italian music! What a pity! When you think that truly talented people struggle to get noticed while this person just wallows in self-pity with desperate lyrics and little tunes to keep the flame alive... it drives me crazy! Fortunately, Italian music manages to survive despite these tsunamis. :)

j love music Italian music is not awful. If by Italian music you mean what the record labels produce, then I agree with you. But if you love music, as your nickname suggests, I wonder why you don't make an effort to search for those in Italy who are truly dedicated to finding quality music... and let me tell you, there are so many of them that you can't even imagine. Let's please debunk this myth. Italian music has depth, but it needs to be sought after because the majors only sponsor Gigi D'Alessio. But if you go to smaller labels, you can find THE Italian music (one example? Check out the label IMMAGINIFICA). J love, those who profess to love music should strive to understand if what they play for us corresponds to the actual musical reality of a country. In Italy, music is something entirely different.

You could have mentioned the existence of the album in the forum! The review doesn't say who this artist is nor how this album sounds. It's like saying: my name is Alberto and I'm here with not a shred of presentation. The album could be wonderful, but it requires imagination to understand it. Finally, you could have at least stated the genre... just to give an idea and describe the music and lyrics a little (since they are in Italian). I'm sorry, but for me it's a complete flop.

Stupid dream is not sad... it expresses "sad" concepts but it's not depressing music. From the darker shades, there's definitely Signify and Deadwing. Try with these two and, if needed, with In Absentia :)
