883 La dura legge del gol

I find it reasonable that everyone writes the reviews they feel the most. I find the process of judging intentions absurd. Not by chance, at the bottom of the review appears the nickname of the person who wrote it. It's up to the reader to read and look for reviews that come closer to their own taste. I read this review not for the music it describes, but for the style and imagery that Kryst is able to evoke. And in this, Kryst, you are talented. Convinced that music is something entirely different, I do not deny Pezzali the power to evoke emotions (it means little to me, but I’m not a dictator demanding that everyone listen to what I adore... or what I, in my sensitivity—whatever that may be—consider a masterpiece). I like your style Kry, not your music (and for this, I don't judge you... on the contrary, I read you!). To Satanic, I just want to remind you that: ........"e io non RESISTII lasciai..." is blatantly ungrammatical!

In the Italian underground, there's much more music than what Timoria and Renga have proposed. Their music is easy to consume and lacks inspiration. You can catch a few good tunes here and there, but nothing more. I invite you, since you enjoy the music produced in this country, to seek out the "real" underground bands... the ones that truly make others pale in comparison. I'm not saying this out of a spirit of symposium, but because I believe you are someone who could appreciate "real quality music." A hug :)

Good reception... in my opinion, this album is too overrated. I wouldn’t consider it a cornerstone of the ‘90s. In my taste, there is definitely better out there.

Beautiful, beautiful, and once again beautiful! Keep an eye on the "imaginific" record label of the good Cioccio, which is producing high-quality groups. The legendary Zuffanti, never idle, is, in my opinion, the one pushing Italian music forward. All-around experimentation that can be hard to keep up with... but often Italians prefer, to our good local music, the many foreign bands! Take a look at Finisterre and Stereokimono as well. Beautiful choice, Andrea... truly good taste. :)
New Trolls Concerto grosso (n.1)

Great album, guys. Really interesting. Setting aside the baroque-inspired music, it's fascinating to hear the 20-plus minutes of improvisation that the band produces. Solos reminiscent of Moby Dick, of Hendrix... truly for refined tastes. For me, in 1971, a little gem passed by... too bad it's very forgotten today. 5.5 and still 5!!!

Just a note: I don't think this splendid album can be categorized as progressive... it's psychedelia, ambient. The prog structures give way to airiness, with few rhythmic changes, linear and almost minimal structures. Trance. Prog is something entirely different, really something else.

Don't download it!!! Buy it, it's worth it. Plus, it's not even a huge amount and poor Giancarlo needs that money to continue his research. Guys, listen to Stefano Panunzi (out of this world) that you can find on the RES music website. Thanks so much for the compliments... I hope to deserve them :)
Premiata Forneria Marconi Dracula (Opera Rock)

A little out of sync with Marco... to whom I remind that the label also produced Paolo maledetto or Grande Joe and so on. The album is of excellent quality: well-executed; brilliantly played; no stylistic or compositional nonsense; it's perfect in taste, educational value, and commercial appeal; catchy and technical at the same time; a perfect synthesis of orchestrations, prog, lyricism, and ease of perception. It's a masterpiece! In its genre, it’s a truly beautiful album! There is no rock opera in Italy more deserving than this one, which is truly rock. Then again, PFM may not be to everyone's taste, and that's another story.
Max Gazzè Contro Un'Onda Del Mare

and moreover: beautiful "the glow given to this sun," "Sirius has disappeared," and "the years without a God".... definitely a quality record. Often it is in the emerging intuitions that one unleashes the true creative vein. Then the market condemned it to pop and placed a tombstone on it. I'm sorry... the review just doesn't sit well with me.
Max Gazzè Contro Un'Onda Del Mare

A review that's hard to share. Gazzè won't be able to replicate this again; he will opt for sales and easy listening. "Il viaggio di Luna," spectacular in its arrangements, is so technical and scattershot that even the author won't perform it again at concerts. "Karbogah," too angry musically and in its lyrics (tolerance, gentlemen), will never be played again... he will prefer..."when it rains, don't open the umbrella"...! A real flop and musical mess. What a pity. The debut was undeniably valid, enough to be endorsed by Battiato himself. If Gazzè could read this, I would say: "Come on, Max, you've got the talent... PUSH YOURSELF!" A review very tied to personal taste and little to the work, which, on the contrary, deserves more.
