I thank Stefano for believing in my words (sometimes decidedly critical of a certain musical trend). It's nice to know that I have pleased someone who, in turn, has been able to make others dream. Thank you for the favorable comments and...buy this work :)

Today, openly, sex is indeed a topic of discussion, and, for the most part, it is women talking about it (books, music, films, etc.). This creates an image of availability that, in reality, is not true. It’s just a different way of being victims. Now Supercheri, I'm not putting your intentions on trial (if it seemed that way, I apologize) nor am I being a moralist. The doubt was that often we enjoy music more for the persona than for the music itself. A person who is carefree about sexuality is not a problem at all and doesn’t bother me. But I am equally convinced that their way of being is also meticulously crafted, just like the pop stars who, by now, have really gotten on everyone’s nerves with their moves! I firmly believe that sexuality is a boon for humanity. Religion denies it, just as it denies a woman's right to be herself, always placing her in a subordinate position to males (for example: look at what happened with the Da Vinci Code!). But be careful of these characters who, indirectly, instill thoughts that not everyone can interpret in their irony. Sexuality exists only if there is an exchange; otherwise, it is pure physical practice (and I don’t know how satisfying that is for women). To wrap up my rambling, I appreciate the small debate about an artist I do not know in my ignorance. My intention was merely to offer an observation from an undoubtedly distracted passerby. Forgive me if I bored you with my thoughts. Bye and thank you :)

I don't know the music of this album. Browsing their website and seeing the photos, it seems to me that they "aren't as transgressive" as they would like to appear. The recipe always seems the same: an overabundance of images showcasing the oppressed female sensuality (?!?!?! Nowadays???!!!) which, in reality, offers a sexual show for a very male audience. Let me explain: what is visible in the photos tickles the voyeuristic palate of males by revealing legs, showcasing the "package" prominently, and the usual outfit resembling underwear. Those who approach this CD likely do so because their sexual hormones are stimulated. Now, Peaches is neither the first nor the last to "take advantage" of a certain cleverness to sell records (whether they are good is another matter)... but do you really think something like this is truly transgressive in 2006? Does appearing as a sexual predator really qualify as feminist and original? Is simulating lesbian scenes really the recipe for emancipating from a (definitely gasping and dead!) masculinity? Will she be remembered more in concerts for the music or because some lucky guy in the front row managed to see something? It seems to me that today's similar "emancipated" rockers fall into a well-packaged cliché! Far from feminism! Could it be that all this is just the usual operation to recruit fans and sell records? The suspicion is definitely strong! Forgive my rant.

Sorry again: take a look at the RES website...it's truly a record label that focuses on unique quality. It would be nice to review and give opinions on the policies of various record labels as well, wouldn't you agree?

It's true about resentment. When I decided to start writing for this site again (where I had lost my enthusiasm), it was because I couldn't take reading reviews that praised Italian music of a certain mediocrity anymore. I thought to myself, why do people like Ligabue deserve impeccable reviews while truly interesting and remarkable musicians remain in the shadows? So I ended up writing a very charged review! I also wanted to mention that Panunzi is a somewhat older debutante. For a first album, damn, there isn’t a... I mean not a single flaw!
I wanted to thank Antoniodeste for the unjustly awarded medal... I know I'm not a great reviewer, and I appreciate you having read me anyway. :)
A hug to everyone :)

Then you'll be able to tell me if I really went overboard :) I hope you’ll agree, after hearing it, that it's only through emotion that we can truly talk about this masterpiece. Do I sound convinced? Well, yes, I do. Anyway, a hug to you, Stoopid, and thanks for stopping by :)

Damn, I just realized that they removed the samples!!! I'll try to fix it. Anyway, on MySpace you can find something to listen to at this address: profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ction=user.viewprofile&friendid=681 80909 - 121k -
Sorry for the oversight!

Thank you very reverend monsieur Sfascia :)
For Zara: you will see that I didn't exaggerate. I only tried to give an image to what this music conveys. Try listening to it and reread the review...tell me if it doesn't have the effect I tried to describe. Anyway, I don’t want to impose any listening line (I, who am the last of the reviewers). Whatever the case... THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :)
