PS: if only there were more bands like Riverside! The quality of music would be so much higher... don’t you think? Hugs :)

PULP: Hi Pulp, no, I'm not aware of the album you mentioned. Indukti are different from Riverside, much more technical and flashy, harder to listen to. A crazy person on my review claims they sound like Dream Theatre... just download the tracks online and you'll see that's not the case. Try checking out "ten stories down" by Pineapple Thief, a very slow and interesting album.
LESTAT: second life is, in my opinion, of lower quality. It really bothers me when they start using the distortion, and Duda scratches an otherwise beautiful voice. It seems to me that they're having trouble renewing themselves, but we'll see. The opener of second life is an epoch-making piece in terms of taste and compositional idea, the rest, in a way, is very predictable. Anyway, hi to both of you :)

Beautiful album, in my opinion superior to Second Life (which explodes in the wonderful opener and then struggles to find ideas). Spiritual heirs of Porcupine Tree. Mariusz Duda is a magnificent performer with his enchanting voice that, however, gets ruined when he starts to scream and make it more metal (moments where the band's magic disappears and leans towards a path that appeals more to the masses). And that's where the problem lies for Riverside, when they stubbornly dive into metal, losing the magnificence they manage to create with voice and undistorted guitars. Out of Myself remains a small gem that, in the opinion of the writer, will not be replicated. Try giving a listen to Duda's parallel project, INDUKTI (my review), which is worth considering. :)

Exactly, they draw inspiration from the '70s prog, but maintain their own style. On their website, you can download the video for "orpheus," which will give you an idea of the album. I recommend checking out the CD "la meccanica naturale" by the excellent Finisterre, yet another musical project by the great bassist Fabio Zuffanti. Not to be missed.

Message to the dwarfs: since no one checks if a review has already been written, could we, at the time of writing (therefore in the program itself), automatically block any repetitions?
To Paloz: it’s not that it bothers us to know that you also like this masterpiece, but by the 10th review don’t you think the topic might have been sufficiently explored? What does your review (which is a perfectly valid contribution) add to what has already been written before? And finally, why don’t you check if someone has already written about PF? In that case, just add a comment. It’s not out of malice, but imagine if everyone who registered on this site started writing about Piper! We could call this site De-Piperbaser (i.e., the collection of reviews of the same album written by people who all think the same way)!!!

I don't listen to niche music, but only what I like... just like you do. I just reflect on some things you've said and I ask myself some questions. Is that all? That's all!

Everyone can absorb music, Saputello. If this becomes a parameter to define whether something is adolescent or not, I believe you are mistaken. Music can be listened to by everyone, that’s a fact. In reality, talking about adolescent music, you are nothing but trapping yourself in a perverse logic that you have created solely by yourself. You talk about adolescent and then claim that it can appeal to everyone. Question: every type of music can be enjoyed regardless of age, so what sense does it make to talk about age groups? Finding easy-to-listen-to tracks is solely the result of your personal experience, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone can find it easily accessible. And then talking about easy accessibility is, in itself, absurd. But comparing easy-to-listen tracks to real pseudo-adolescent bands seems to me to be quite a silly notion. Anyway, I don’t mean to offend you, but be careful because from what you’ve written, only this comes across.

Of The Reverse of the Medal, I would like to recommend Contaminazione, which, along with the older concerto grosso for New Trolls, represents the pinnacle of the integration between 18th-century music and rock (thanks to a superb Bachalov). Rece is sparse... I'm sorry, however, I give you credit for bringing back to light one of the best Italian prog bands. Bye :)

dear sfascia, this womanly disc of matured beauty did not reach my, albeit Italian, listening ears. But the discordant comment leaves me with a taste that is both bitter and sweet. What, then, is it good to expect? Intimate atmospheres tied to the sparkle of simplicity or the lively discomfort of boredom, the already eternal concubine of existence? Give me a difficult verdict! (ps. alas, perhaps a samples here....)
