speedyF4: 1) when you write to me that I haven't "lived" the album, that I wouldn't be old enough, and that I've only recently gotten into it, at first it seems a bit like an attack (even upon rereading, actually :-) Particularly, the influence of the Police has been decisive for me, and the second music critique book I bought (not going out on Saturdays and saving from my allowance) was precisely about the Police. 2) Before writing the review, I combed through all (I mean all!) the other reviews of the same album that I could find online. Only afterwards did I decide to take this kind of interpretative angle, which I hadn’t found present in other reviews and is crucial for the band's life (or death). I think that more than what I've written, even though I would have gladly done so, wouldn't have been well-received by other readers. Have you read my review of Moby? I even got a "warning" from the editor!!! (who, by the way, is he? he should introduce himself, at least, mah) 3) I’m missing Noah's Ark; I’ve only listened to it once briefly at a friend's, but honestly, with all due respect, while the crystal class remains... On intuition, I liked "the Rhythmatist," but it really doesn’t compare; then again, if we subjectively like it, all the better. But dear speedy, can we really compare it to the Police? On a scale from 0 to 10, with Regatta de Blanc at 10, I ask you: a) what do you think are the best two?; b) what score do you give them? Awaiting your response, ciao.

for speedyF4: I don't know and I don't want to waste time understanding the reasons that might have led you to attack me in this way; among other things, you're mistaken because at the time of Synch I had been buying records for at least three years and was already quite aware of the music scene (this early start proved very useful as soon as I began practicing as a DJ, with excellent results, with my mom bringing the equipment to private parties because I was too young to drive, shoutout to mom). Furthermore, projecting the concept you express in your note, in the complete refusal to accept widely circulated historical testimonies through printed media (i.e., books), which has recently been complemented by digital means, our species would seem to need to regress by a couple of millennia, it seems to me. The choice not to include the information you added, for which I thank you, is driven by my intention to emphasize the other themes presented, without overloading the review too much (which, as you can see, is already quite "full" as it is). Bye.

:-)) Great Umma, I saw correctly: analytical, synthetic, you grasp the "core" of the sentences... you fill me with joy. I explained to you the 2 in the review; consider it a stimulus, just like the 1 from Rivo on Moon Safari might have been for me. The fact that "Athom Earth Mother is my favorite is purely subjective. It’s the one by Pink Floyd that I listen to most frequently; I regularly listen to it and, among other things, it’s the only one by Pink Floyd for which I willingly use the costly (and hard to find) stylus of my cartridge. But it's a matter of taste, and I don’t consider it the best of Pink Floyd. Maybe it’s not even the most important, but I’m ready to discuss what might be the most important in their discography (after an ample exchange of reasons).

I appreciate its conciseness, but I find it just a bit too sparse. My thanks for integrating the database with something essential. Goodbye.

Giovanni - Thanks for the advice, I’ll try to summarize a bit less in the future; after all, in this case, there was too little to present. As for the self-voting, I actually hadn’t thought of that: rather than not putting votes in succession to the record, as a provocation ("barrè," for those who know the game of Bridge), I could also raise my average rating for the review! Thank you once again for your invaluable comment, goodbye.

Oh Turkish, you see that on the "sciopero" forum I'm raising an interesting issue; time will prove me right. And also, about this Bibiane, just because she’s a minor doesn’t mean we should treat her like someone diminished! From how she writes, she seems like an ambitious person; if she is ambitious, the higher the criticism, the more she can draw inspiration to improve. What do you think? AND THAT DAMN RIVO STILL HASN'T SENT ME HIS HELMET!!!

Great review. Nice little album. My friend Sallu is too strong. I can't listen to the single anymore: I gave it to a friend I was visiting, and she played it for two whole days on repeat.

I haven't listened to it in ages, but I get chills just by seeing the cover again. What an album, I remember I cried. What an artist, so sensitive! Do the review of the others too.

The CD isn't too bad, at least it tries to be original (tries). It has the great merit of selling quite well these days, then... It has the big flaw of having launched Cremonini!
