Antonio Moresco Canti del Caos (Parte1 e Parte2)

Such an announced brick must be written extraordinarily, otherwise it becomes unmanageable. Responses on this matter are appreciated. Proust's "recherche," for instance, is the longest novel in history, but it is written so beautifully that who pays attention to the number of pages?

I agree. Unfortunately, he too has sold out to the market, becoming more and more what he WASN'T in the beginning: a machine of ambient production. Many of the works from the 80s onwards are absolutely negligible, with the most egregious mistakes being the sequels to Tubular Bells (a work that cannot and should not have a sequel, being a complete masterpiece in its uniqueness). He has made many mistakes, but how can one get too angry at someone who has gifted us albums like "Hergest Ridge," "Ommadawn," or even "Platinum"? A genius that we are slowly losing...

Really? I didn't have the courage to listen to it. Should I?
Franco Battiato Fleurs 2

Alright, that makes perfect sense. But 1 to Battiato means 1 to a genius. I've already expressed my opinion about that previous one, which gave him a 4.

A really great live, on which I have a lot to say, but I just don't feel like it right now. Maybe I'll revisit it. 4.5

It seems to me that you’re a bit of a fanatic when it comes to Rush and Dream Theater. It’s fine to appreciate this band (which is certainly made up of great musicians), but they haven’t exactly produced only 5-star albums. Their composition-suites are often very heavy (both in sound and length), and they occasionally exaggerate with the tempos. In my opinion, while 2112 remains a splendid piece (NOT entire album), lush and pleasantly space-prog, their most compact and enjoyable album is "Moving Pictures," where we finally find Rush measured and always at the center of the action, not lost in the digressions of just a carpet of keyboards.

I can’t figure out who’s more of an idiot: the one who reviews (who has launched into a discourse of pure and simple unjustified hate, without giving a shred of valid reason to bash an album that, like it or not, is certainly well-made enough to not deserve a 1 in any case—but above all we're talking about someone who gives 5 to any metal crap, even to the Darkness, and mentions Dream Theater in a review of Elton John), those who pay attention to him (saying "great review" when it doesn’t seem to be the case at all), or those who even engage in discussions about these worn-out clichés. You’re all idiots (except for OleEinar, blessed son).

Talks about what he hears, good music. He tears down the Guns.
Franco Battiato Fleurs 2

Battiato is and remains one of the (if not the) best in the Italian scene for decades. Unfortunately, this is nothing more than a commercial maneuver, surely not intended by him. Under the pressure of the approaching Christmas season, he was almost forced to release Fleurs 2, which has very little redeemable within it. And believe me, coming from someone who deeply loved the last "Il Vuoto." That said, I repeat, Battiato is still the best here in Italy. There’s no doubt about it.
