Wings Wild Life

A much better album than what many critics have proclaimed in the past. The era was that of prog, and sparse records like the first three were simply out of style at the time. Besides the classic Dear Friend, there are many points of interest, starting with the often underrated Mumbo and Bip Bop, the former sweaty and engaging, the latter alluring in its domestic simplicity. But then there's Love is Strange, a precursor of reggae in Europe, the beautiful Tomorrow, Wild Life itself... Sure, it's not Ram or Band on the Run, but it is still a good album; the unfounded criticisms from the past are really hard to understand.

I love this album, aside from Whaling Stories which (unlike many critics) I find boring and incoherent. But the overwhelming and pessimistic tracks in the middle section of the album are priceless. An enormously underrated album.
Lucio Battisti Una giornata uggiosa

Here’s the usual review: "A gloomy day is a disappointment, what a shame that Mogol-Battisti end like this…". Nonsense. "A gloomy day" is a masterpiece.
Lucio Battisti Don Giovanni

The lyrics of "Don Giovanni" were written AFTER the music, unlike the subsequent ones.

I have read great criticism about the format of the videos (http://macca.devstars.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=62113&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=540)

a charming, rebellious, and sincere lover of rock, but widely overrated. At its best, this album is fairly interesting; at its worst, it's embarrassing, especially in the lyrics. Better as an interpreter of others’ songs in "E' rock'n'roll."

I absolutely adore this album... Naive, psychedelic, freak... fantastic!

Damn, you even went to study Schönberg to write this review!!! You have my utmost respect, congratulations.
The album didn't quite meet my expectations; I had heard it referred to as one of the great classics of our local prog, but it seems risky to compare them to the giants (pfm, banco, etc...). I've always found it a bit monochord; the very homogeneous atmosphere of this album eventually wears me out. Nonetheless, credit where credit is due for the originality of the proposal.
