I have already replied to odradek in his review of moondog. Socrates, I apologize for the past, but sometimes I rush things. If you let me know what you think of Xiu Xiu, I'll try to make it right. Bye!

@Odradek. Having seen some rather strange comments about my review of Xiu Xiu, I traced this back here. I’m sorry to be accused of doing such things because fundamentally I come here on Debaser to share my impressions on what I listen to and to spread the word about my idols, not to wage war against others or to collect medals. It’s true that someone has occasionally given me strange 5s on my reviews, but honestly, I’ve received quite a few (some from you, Odradek, and at times when not suspected) and anyway, this site is an ocean full of fish of every kind. I read that this Maricon, who dared to give a 4 to your immaculate review, has never commented on my reviews. I respect the work of other debaseriani too much to play such idiotic games. Among other things, I adored some reviews, like John’s on Mozart, and I proposed to the editors to feature it permanently on the bulletin board. The guy who lowered John’s average (oh dear, discussing these things, as if we were back in high school...) also hasn’t commented on my reviews.
I don’t spend my time ranking and watching progress (as if we were on some super chart show with good Seymandi), but I recall that in the past a guy gave me a 1 on a highly appreciated review of Elliott Smith, writing ā€œsuicide popā€: something that left me indifferent apart from the poor taste for poor Elliott. A similar thing happened with Buffalo Springfield, but I don’t recall launching accusations of mysterious conspiracies. If you think that I’m the fool in question, so be it. Regards.

Even though it's a compilation, it deserves a 5 just for "martha."

Next to colorful phrases, I wrote concepts like: 1) the album recycles leaden atmospheres that, for me, are just the usual new wave coming back (while for the critics it represents futuristic scenarios that I frankly don’t see), 2) it recycles progressive enzymes (disheveled solos, spatial depth, almost Pink Floyd-esque) 3) the singing is always over the top. This is what I find musically, and I don’t like it. The rest is just background. Trucido, go listen to Audioslave instead, you’ll do better, come on!
