Quentin Tarantino Grindhouse: Death Proof - A Prova di Morte

@eletto: the scene of the photos with the girls, where the camera focuses and clicks, is taken word for word from the opening of "The Bird". You have my respect (you already had it before, to be honest).

Sorry, I read too quickly: you’re right, but you need to match the soundtrack to the scene, otherwise it doesn’t count... meanwhile, I’ll vote for you again.

@eletto: there are references to Morricone's soundtrack, but not in the final part, rather at 3/4 of the film. Let me help you: the citation is taken word for word from "L'uccello dalle piume"...

Regarding the quotes present in Death Proof, I'm launching a contest (there's no prize except my esteem): where and how is Dario Argento referenced?
Darren Lynn Bousman Saw 3

The I was splendid and original; the II a half failure; the III is halfway through, but it has interesting and unexpected narrative solutions. In absolute terms, the score would be a 2, in relative terms - that is, in comparison to genre cinema - a 3.5, which I round up to 4 for averaging purposes. The review is so-so.
David Fincher Zodiac

@bartle: perhaps because the alleged "Zodiac" had merely frightened the woman, but had not carried out acts suitable and unequivocal to kill her, according to serial killer techniques. He could have been one of the many mythomaniacs or violent individuals roaming the streets of California, or the result of a psychosis on the woman's part. I would have done a bit more investigation as well.

@poletti: don't complain, some of your comments on my reviews contained gratuitous personal attacks, just reap what you sow. In any case, there's nothing wrong with reading reviews in newspapers (depending on the newspapers, indeed). Best regards.

Watched last night: it’s a stylistic exercise, but of great style, and the citationism is not the essential feature of this Tarantino work. I see it more as a play of references to the cinema that was, but Death Proof is undoubtedly "A-list" cinema. Perhaps part of the criticism was expecting a more mature Tarantino, an evolution of the director's style towards the more austere shores of a Scorsese, but the good Quentin surprised everyone with this enjoyable and winking piece of work.

Tim Story I Fantastici 4

@dante: of course, that's the limit of the review, but also its purpose: to talk about something else because there's not much to say about the film, other than that it provides two hours of carefree entertainment. If I had to rate it - actually, I’ll do it now - it would be a 2.5 [strictly calibrated to the genre, so Tim Burton's Batman would be a 5].
