I delivered a better critique, you should provoke in a slightly less direct and inelegant way.

At first (’99) I liked them for the reggae vibe of some tracks and for their essential sounds. Then, as someone pointed out, Boosta took over from Casacci, so I stopped following them. The review doesn't encourage me to do so, considering the description of the songs.

Thank you, first of all, for appreciating the review. I share the criticisms of those who argue that the film is predictable (both in absolute terms and considering Avati's previous thrillers: the rating would therefore be 2.5 or 3), also due to an overly generous trailer. The 4 is justified both in relation to the average level of genre films and in reference to the excellent performance of a still vibrant director, compared to Argento, who - as my readers well know - is one of my favorite directors (for works up to '82, including Tenebre).

@ajeje: not lesser the film itself (on the contrary, I find it a masterpiece), but lesser, for the critics, compared to many subsequent works by Avati, which convince me less.

Great page. You write a lot and well about not-so-well-known bands and a genre considered the domain of a few fanatics, when, in fact, it’s quite significant. I don’t know them, I’ve only focused on Megadeth and Voivod, but that’s my flaw.

@nero: before all this knowledge, I bow. Ah, the well-known Venetian saying usually concludes, in its more modern versions, "con Rovigo non mi intrigo."

@Nibbio: "Vicentini magnagatti" does not refer to the alleged culinary habits of the people from Vicenza, but rather to the fact that, in order to eradicate the presence of rats in the city, the inhabitants of the Palladian city obtained from Venice the dispatch of a multitude of cats (for sanitary purposes!), of which they never returned a single one. It should be understood in a metaphorical sense, while acknowledging that during times of famine and war, some cats were certainly cooked, but not only in Vicenza. Similarly, "veronesi tutti matti" refers to the insubordination of the residents of the Scaliger city, who were not always effective in serving the Venetian army during the times when the well-known saying was formulated. Regarding "veneziani gran signori" and "padovani gran dottori," there is nothing to add: however, note that the further one moves away from the Venetian capital, the more disparaging the judgments about the local populations become. I apologize to Francescobus for taking up his space with these notes, perhaps a bit too professorial.

Never seen a more effective singer of the trash genre. @Nero: as for baccalà alla vicentina: baccalà and stoccafisso are synonyms, but the treatment carried out in Vicenza, especially in Sandrigo and nearby areas, makes the final product quite different from simple stoccafisso. There is even the Brotherhood of Baccalà that guards the recipe, almost like the Grail. In fact, if I become a writer, I will be the author of the "Baccalà Code."

@super: don't worry, good review and interesting film, which I have never seen though.
