Paolo, I know Verona and its surroundings very well; they capture that reality beautifully. I can see Mayor Tosi quite well in the role of Rosco P. Coltrane, even though Hazzard was set in Georgia.

Verdone in "Gallo Cedrone" captures very well the world of Elvis impersonators in Italy. I had a roommate in college who was vaguely inspired by that style. Good memories.

she had a daughter with Ray Davies around '82-83... then they broke up and she got together with the terrible Kerr. I shudder at the decline in the quality of her choices (at least from a musical standpoint, then in the sheets it's her business).

@supersoul: I knew about Nick Lowe, but as you say, he was an essential producer for that music, not a producer who, like Eno for the Heads, brought the band to a new language and a higher consideration from certain audiences; thus leaving the Pretenders in a purely pop-rock space. I'm glad that so many are finally remembering them.
