I refer you to this scene by Petri: As for Rosi, here's this: Two very interesting reflections on power and what revolves around it.

There are also two directors who are not talked about much here, but who seem to be a model for many young filmmakers (even the upcoming "Gomorra" and "Il divo" owe something to them): Elio Petri and Francesco Rosi. Perhaps my favorites.

The ideal soundtrack for this film, including the locations, is At the Drive In and the subsequent Mars Volta's "Deloused in the Comatorium". Or, for the desolate emptiness, the Meat Puppets' II and Up.. @Iride: I meant Billy Bob in "Bad Santa," obviously.

The a-morality that can be grasped in this work digs deep and is almost enchanting. The film, in my opinion, has a certain continuity with all of the brothers’ cinema (even when they limit themselves to being producers like in Bad Santa) in the part where it describes a country without landmarks, without directions, an eternal periphery without a center. Llewelyn Moss is perhaps not too far from Big Lebowski or from Billy Bob Thornton in the aforementioned film… although his situation is definitely worse, but only because his enemies are worse and decidedly less farcical (despite appearances). The most beautiful character is the wife; the composure of the actress who portrays her in the redde rationem with the killer is unforgettable.

Hats off. However, I'm not sure if you paid Vierzig (40) euros or Vierzhen (14) euros, since the parenthesis "a Neapolitan would have made me arrive at least thirty each while making me believe he was doing me a favor and that he cares about me" seems incongruous. They are monumental.

I fall into the 25% where I disagree with Poletti. Every now and then I rewatch the 10 or more minutes in the single field [courtyard room and back] and think: wow!

Sorry Pol, you also recognize the value of Catch.

I don't entirely agree with what Poletti says: it's certainly not an auteur film (so I agree that Spielberg "died" after E.T.: but what about Schindler? Catch me if you can?), however, the idea behind it - by Philip Dick - is very stimulating. To what extent is attempted crime punishable, perhaps even to the idea, the unconscious thought of being able to commit a crime? It may seem like nonsense, but there are centuries of speculation behind these questions.
