The Rolling Stones Their Satanic Majesties Request

One of the best from Rivoli: its style is like that, take it or leave it. Personally, I like it, mesmerizing and Proustian like few others.

Muitosaudosismo, I'm sorry to have anticipated you, and it’s a curious coincidence, since the film in question, in Italy and in the world, is probably something only a few hundred people have seen (I'm exaggerating, but not too much). Anyway, I eagerly await your debut in the ophthalmology section; fortunately - even with Scorsese himself - there are plenty of points for reflection. I also knew what you mentioned about Jerry Lewis; after all, we shouldn't be surprised that behind apparent buffoons, as comedians are, complex personalities often lie hidden, tending towards the dark or the melancholic: think of the great Totò and many other local comedians.

True, "La domenica delle salme" is a beautiful song, and it indicates – in its own way – the right path to follow.

A so-so review for a so-so album, as clearly highlighted in all the previous posts. And then the selection of tracks leaves a lot to be desired: there are missing pieces that I adore, like "Giugno 73," "Amico fragile," and, since someone is talking about Sardinia, "Zirighiltaggia," which almost feels like an excerpt from "Il giorno del giudizio" by Salvatore Satta.

Congratulations Muitosaudosismo, keep it up. It's curious that the opposite phenomenon occurred with Elio, in "Heavy Samba," contained in the latest album: cannibalism this too, after all.

I reviewed Zodiac about a year ago, and I can only confirm the positive judgment on the film. Sure, it's quite slow, but we need more works like this: in short, a thriller that demolishes its own genre!
Graham Coxon The Kiss of Morning

Definitely the funniest of the Blur.

Only Poletti - to whom I still feel affection - can debate the rankings of the "10 best" across various fields of human knowledge alongside the valid Iron Man - which I saw last night thanks to this review (well, among other things, kudos to Paltrow's mom for how she raised her). So, it's useless to say that these rankings have never been helpful to anyone because they depend on a thousand variables and a thousand points of view: Marlon Brando the greatest actor of all time? It depends on the genre, because he doesn’t know how to hit the comedic notes at all; here, in my opinion, Lemmon and Matthau might be better. Sellers better than Brando because he can be both comedic and dramatic? It also depends on various perspectives, and it’s clear where this is going. Anyway, Del Piero is definitely the best of all (even better than the "traitor" Ibra and the Rome-centric Totti)! In any case, if you like R. Downey Jr, it's well said by those who recommend watching the splendid and eccentric Zodiac.

I missed it and it must have been a shame, especially considering what you say (but I chose Speed Racer). The only note regarding Downey Jr: he didn’t work much not because he was snubbed by studios, but because he was a well-known drug addict and unreliable. I’m glad he’s back in the spotlight (cleaning himself up) because Chaplin from '92 was a nice film.
Gianni Amelio Il ladro di bambini
Voto:
Lo Verso unfortunately faded away in the subsequent years; it doesn't seem to have been fully utilized by the current generation of prominent directors (Garrone, Sorrentino, and others). I also remember him in a curious film from the early '90s, "Volevamo essere gli U2," which is certainly mediocre compared to the works discussed by Poletti, but provides an interesting snapshot of life. Amelio, on the whole, enjoys less merit and fame than he - perhaps - deserves.
