Good review. When I bought the CD I appreciated it a lot, and now it feels like just an ordinary affair, with only Derrick being enthusiastic. In an interview he said: "I feel suspended in the air by happiness, we no longer have nuisances to deal with." True, but also very few fans, among whom I include myself. Always respect the Seps, always.

Thank you, Bartle. I live between the Berici and Euganean hills, in the Plain. As for Sfascia: it's not heavy metal, but just a minilega of Cannibal-Obituary that works in some songs and irritates in others. Thank you for the positive vote.

Really well written, with many descriptions of the songs. Perhaps there are a few too many ballads, but it’s all excellent music. "Dark Lady" is a classic just like "In Trance." Better this cover than that of Virgin Killer!

You're right, Lethe, I wrote a crazy sentence; where I live, there's always fog in winter, and caution is never too much. So it's better to listen to the SFU with the car parked in the yard and immersed in the fog, that seems much better to me. Thank you for the appreciation.

Thank you Tepes, even West wanted something less demanding so he removed the solos, which were all starting to sound alike: they always end with the sound of a siren.

For Jawbreaker: imagine "Slowly We Rot" and "The End Complete" merged together, but without the dense solos and with fewer riffs. So a slow and predictable Death that works because of the novelty of Barnes' voice over this rhythmic backdrop. Already with "Warpath" the story starts to stumble, so out goes West and in comes Swanson.

For Aniel: I used this term because I didn’t know how to define Chris Barnes' voice. Online I found some definitions for Barnes, like "...a bear in heat..." (or something like that) and also "...sounds like a dog gnawing on a bone...". For me, it’s a fusion of both; a deep growl like a bear, but controlled like the anger of a snarling dog. Not finding terms to describe a Death Metal growl, I opt for comparisons with animals: I’m not sure if they’re fitting, but I can’t think of others. Thanks for the rating.

I know them by reputation, but I’ve never heard anything from this group. The review is good. Sorry for the quick comment, but I’m at the office and they’re shutting down the Internet, bye!

Great review. I would have liked to hear some impressions on the hidden tracks like Shambelle or Someone To Talk To, just to name a couple. In any case, a unique group of extraordinary musicians.
