Heathen Breaking The Silence

@ocram, hi! Great to see you again, I really re-read our "press conferences" in the reviews of gg junior on Anthrax live and the one I wrote about Dark Angel, and in the first one I expressed my aversion to Louie Clemente. Benante and Lombardo admire each other, and both use the double caterpillar, see "Hostage To Heaven" by Grip and the intro to "Among The Living" by Anthrax. Recently, Dave's drumming on "Christ Illusion" has led many people to consider his use of pedals more creative; he seems close to Dave McLain. In 1983, both made their debut in the two different Slayers (and I still haven't figured out how old McLain is). @mien_mo_man thank you for helping me rediscover (and see his music from a different perspective) Adam & The Ants.

@sfascia carrozze, as soon as I bought the used vinyl I left the store, around 1993, and my lifelong friend, pointing at the cover, exclaimed: "Be careful because you might end up like that poor guy." @Bartleboom, this holiday has rejuvenated me and just the other day I re-read your review on Exumer and the one on Forbidden, and it made me nostalgic. My favorite is "Victims Of Deception," but a review on this LP was a must... and I also thank you for the translations and for the year-end review (which Santa Claus will bring me) on Iron Angel:DDD @extro91, thanks to you too; indeed, I found more favorable opinions online for the debut than for "Victims Of Deception." @Festwca, thanks to you too.

I read it with pleasure, but I’m more of a fan of Michael Myers than Jason. One of the films that unsettled me in my tender age was "Quando il pensiero diventa crimine," but it’s not a horror. "L'assassino è costretto ad uccidere ancora" by Cozzi (known by the title "Il ragno") is another childhood nightmare I recently revisited. Then, as for my cinematic knowledge, "...the darkness lives forever within my mind..."

The Bolt Thrower album I prefer. A stunning cover made just for it, blast beats in two or three tracks, like "Afterlife," and screaming guitar solos. The only flaw of Bolt Thrower is Andy Whale, who doesn’t know how to maintain a consistent speed like Lombardo, often indulging in a "trot" here (and will continue doing so in "...For Victory"), whereas on "Realm Of Chaos" he alternated the trot with blast beats. No middle ground. Excellent Karl Willetts, as always, and the production is finally clearer without losing an ounce of the power from previous albums. Tonight I've rambled on more than usual... perhaps because this review was within my capabilities, and I wanted to write something. It was one of the first Death Metal albums I bought and "digested" very well. Well done, Gueddo, although you could have elaborated more on the feelings that the songs inspire in you. For instance, you listen to the CD, then look at the cover, reread the booklet, and that’s usually where many thoughts emerge: of darkness, of the Middle Ages, of battles in the rain. Good review anyway.

For me, the best is the posthumous "Dusk" and then this one. It's a fresh product and not at all dated; it can be copied with inventiveness without irritating anyone. I feel that Kingdom Come, especially with "In Your Face," imitate Led Zeppelin superbly, but they come off as more cheesy (in certain tracks, not all). I liked the review.

Congratulations on the great review. I recently listened to one of their compilations, but they don't excite me.

Well...I found it in the baskets of the Hemisphere, but I have never come across "Bomber" (I live near Vicenza) for example. In any case, I always listen to it with pleasure, especially the first CD.

Well guys, I now have a week of the sea ahead with my family. It was nice to chat a bit with you (all esteemed and very kind reviewers). @morpheo 33 good review, which also sparked this nice discussion. Until next time!

I didn't think they did hard rock; I was convinced they played vigorous rock but not strictly hard. Anyway, I'm off to get it. Rece is written excellently.
