I Laaz Rockit are a legendary band, and everywhere it is written that they became thrashers starting from "Know Your Enemy," but I don't like them much, and the blame lies with Michael Coons for his screechy voice. Plus, there's never that speed thrash piece like "Battery" or, I don't know, "Darkness Descends." They are certainly good musicians; the double bass is not in the attic, the good solos are there, and there's also some grit. Yet, there’s never that killer song; for example, the opener "Fire In The Hole" has a riff that is too bare-bones. Even "Over The Middle" by Forbidden (from "Green" - 1997) features a spartan riff, but at least Steve Jacobs flies through it nicely, while Agnello rushes for sure, but slowly (festina lente, the Latins used to say), and I don’t like that. Maybe the same thing would have happened to Ratt if, after their first mini, they had opted for thrash. Perhaps the subsequent full-length with Dave Chavarri on drums is more compact, but there’s still the voice... Not essential. I agree with OleEinar, you’ve chosen a band that’s not too unknown. Goodbye!

Great review and very detailed, I remember that "Cristian d'Or" is the B-side of "Stand And Deliver" or...wait is it "Beat My Guest"? In any case, it's an artist I'm rediscovering big time :DDD

This is a legendary band; their first demos date back to 1988, I believe, but I've never listened to them. Since there's this great review, I'll start searching. Bye!

What a tautology! Scots and Scottish group...it's like saying...prudent caution...it's time for Morpheus or Ole Chiudilocchio to arrive.

Splendid review, which evokes images of oceans in me and reminds me of the Scottish band Silencers, a Scottish group that I’m sure you could review brilliantly: DDD

Thank you for the quote, but if I could write like you do, I would definitely be more productive and would manage to review the other Knack albums as well. Great job, now I’ll try to find them; DDDD

Great green, I wonder if they resemble the Golden Earring. In any case, I'll get them right away, bye :DD
