Sepultura Dante XXI

Certainly the best with Green in the lineup, but some tricks feel déjà vu, like "Convicted In Life," where there's a lot of craftsmanship. Good song, which I listen to with pleasure, but Kisser's "craftsmanship" holds the fort. The album, however, very hardcore I would say, is enjoyable without wrinkling my nose. Good review.
Sepultura Morbid Visions

Good reception, but the album is just mediocre. The title track "Necromancer" and "Troops Of Doom" are great tracks, however.
Obituary Frozen In Time
Voto:
The worst is always "Back From Dead." After many years, they continue to repeat the same things (just listen to "On The Floor"), changing the production or modulating the growl differently.
Obituary Cause Of Death
Voto:
I really like this album, but as usual Murphy does a better job on "Spiritual Healing." For me, Obituary were on the verge of a masterpiece, but the weak point is always the stark distinction between slow and fast parts: all out and then slow and steady. Never any in-between.
Obituary Slowly We Rot
Voto:
A historic album, which struggles against the competition of "Altars Of Madness" or "Consuming Impulse," but nothing more.
Obituary World Demise
Voto:
I like the B-side of the single "Don't Care" titled "Killing Victims Found," a song added as a bonus track on "World Demise."

Here I am! Before going to bed, I decided to take a little trip around the web and here I am. Great review and excellent recovery; I hope that while moving I can reactivate the mule and the phone line so I can listen to them. Instead, I listened to the two LPs by Mandator and they are excellent, even if they don't reach the level of Pestilence; in short, speed metal/thrash, we're in that ballpark. I enjoyed reading the review and I’ll listen to them again tomorrow. As for "Raging Steel," it’s one of my favorite thrash albums, especially for Milo's voice and for other situations that I recreate in my mind when I listen to it. I had jotted down some notes, but (as usual) without peace of mind I can't write properly, so I would be very happy to see them discussed. @Bartleboom+extro91 if you want to get to work, I would be thrilled to read your thoughts.... but I know the Carrion well by now for "Torero" (the cover is horrible), which was brought up in the review of Gammacide with the good nightdriver (let’s hope he makes a comeback) who nailed Bartleboom's question. Good times... well, that was last year, but it feels like centuries have passed. I'm going to take the carcass to bed; maybe we’ll meet here again tomorrow :D

I haven't listened to them yet, I've prioritized the Risk. The review is good even though I think the definition of "classic" is quite subjective; probably this album has intrigued you more than other releases from more famous bands, just like it happened to me with Gammacide. Good find, anyway.

@Meconio: I just listened to "Two Hearts" and I find it very beautiful. It could use a rehabilitation review. Who knows...

"I bow with deference to the orders of Your Holiness..." (let's see if you guess this: DDD). Such a beautiful reception, just like the one from Spirit Caravan ;-). Happy Easter!!
