Great review for a stratospheric album.

This album is a powerhouse; how can you give it a 3 just for those simple interludes?

Everyone says that Pink Floyd shouldn’t have done the soundtrack for "La Vallèe" because the film was lacking. I think that "Obscured by Clouds" is also a Floydian episode that deserves reevaluation; it has fascinating pieces and very beautiful melodies. Of course, we’re not talking about "The Dark Side of the Moon," it’s less experimental than "More," but it deserves proper consideration. The cover, in my opinion, is one of the band's most beautiful.

I bought it this year in Padua out of curiosity and because I have always been fascinated by the mysterious figure of this Femme Fatale, who holds the important honor of having sung on the first immortal LP of the VU. I must say I was a bit disoriented on the first listen, and only later did I realize I was completely enveloped by this spiral of sweet darkness; Nico's voice powerfully accentuates every uncertainty, and the stripped-down arrangements are an enviable strength. The tracks sung in German have an arcane quality that truly leaves you feeling bewildered. "Janitor of Lunacy" and "The Falconer" give me chills, so menacing they seem almost harmless in their fatality. If you haven't understood, it's a masterpiece worth owning; only after a few listens can you really come to love it. As for the review, it seems a bit too focused on human sensations in the style of Onda Rock, but it's good.
