But then I don’t understand all this talk about the character of Servillo lacking credibility. In the film, the protagonist himself says he’s not really affiliated with the mafia, damn it. He’s just a guy who did business, period. The real mafiosi show up and, indeed, they are crude and violent. It’s a film, so it has to play with certain clichés that catch the viewer’s attention (Ditta is, in fact, mega stylish, precise, cold, and calculating like any self-respecting charming gangster from a film) but the story doesn’t seem that absurd to me, you know.

You often use the singular subject with a plural verb. "producer of curiosity REGARDING the finished work" what the hell does that mean? "Spend one's (own) attention" I've never heard that used before. I also note a "sé" without an accent and this sentence that I don't find particularly clear: "Well-being, wealth, money, luxury: these are the values that receive attention and solicitude towards their acquisition." Hmm! However, the subject is interesting. I've always dismissed 19th-century Italian literature. I hope to be proven wrong.

If I have to listen to myself over the years, I prefer to enjoy more recent bands. In my opinion, the old glories, as infinitely better than the revival, have given their best with the sounds and technologies of their time, and this is the case with DAF, as with many others who have come back into the spotlight after years of silence. However, seeing them live would be a whole different story, and sooner or later I have to make a stop at the Familientreffen, come on. Beer and EBM in abundance.
