I picked up this CD again a week ago and it's once more wrapping me in its diabolical coils... truly remarkable. Among other things, if it's true that Fibra brings bad luck (and it seems to be well established, just look at some comments above), Pannella should be counting his days ("with Pannella in the living room, dancing and drooling like a llama, who's been smoking for fifty years and will die in a week").

The first album I bought by U2. So many memories... the next two were The Joshua Tree and The Unforgettable Fire, which overshadowed the first in my listening. This album isn't all that great in the end, but it has three or four good tracks (I think of Bullet The Blue Sky, Helter Skelter, Pride, Silver And Gold... the live tracks, I've never liked the others much). I've always hated All I Want Is You; I found it unsettling: now I know why, in a way it was a harbinger of the subsequent stylistic changes in Achtung Baby. Today's U2 really disgust me.
