I haven't heard the album, so I'm not judging it; however, You Get What You Give was a super commercial pop single absolutely not worth mentioning, in the style of Lunapop, just to be clear. Maybe you went a bit overboard; I don't think it can be considered a true masterpiece.

Too easy to take shots at the Red Cross... Might as well start reviewing Cutugno et similares. Nice review though, but it’s better not to waste all this sharpness on this stuff.

Beck Sea Change

I wouldn't ignore Midnite Vultures... regardless of the reasons that led to its creation, the album is beautiful, strongly influenced by the sound of Prince's Lovesexy, but still a Beck album, characterized by his original, kaleidoscopic, and clattering sound tangle. And it's better than Sea Change.
Anyway, I also found Sea Change to be somewhat unspontaneous and very self-satisfied. For example, Lonesome Tears is a nice track, but it undeniably reeks of mannerism and déjà entendu.
