It was exactly on a forum where they were discussing the death of Hip Hop in Italy. I copied and posted it here because it seemed to me that, besides being a nice contribution, it was an interesting response to "aroma noise's" post. At least Militant A says something, instead of just bragging about how great he is and how awful the others are, right?

I completely agree with you; in fact, Italian rap is "dead" because of that. At the beginning, they made tracks like "Lo Straniero" that actually talked about something, and they mixed it with pure "Tech-Rap-Show-Off" pieces, which always fit well. Now it's all just show-off.

I see them like guitarists; if a guitarist makes an album with 5 songs and 5 pieces of "purely technical solos," I’ll buy it on the spot. But if after 1-2 albums where you’ve shown you can write songs, you give me 90 albums of solos, you can take that and shove it, I won’t buy from you anymore.

In Italy, there are still plenty of people who know how to do "rap solos," but there's "no one" left who makes songs.

That's exactly why ASSALTI FRONTALI RULEZ. :)))
