As a joke, it's funny. However, it's the site itself that moderates; in the long run... the shitty reviews don't get any attention, DeAnonymous, and they just stay there.

Pino Daniele was legendary also because he experimented linguistically, through the occasional but significant blend of Italian, Neapolitan, and English in his lyrics... For this album, in Uè Man we find some amusing and improbable alternations ("Nu poc' 'e dollars to me / e me ne fai ' i'"), as in Yes I Know My Way, Have You Seen My Shoes, I Say i' sto 'cca' in other albums. (I guess I just don’t feel like working today)

You're right, Francis... but I still haven't formed a precise opinion about it. The album is too new, and I've listened to it too few times. One thing is certain: I much preferred the old Supergrass; cheeky, rowdy, great screamers – how lovely are the counter-screams of the bassist in the first album, for example in the finale of Lenny – capable of writing super simple and immediate tracks that would get stuck in your head and make you hit play a million times.

I agree with Grass, the current Pino Daniele, with that little voice and those trivial lyrics, doesn’t even seem like a distant relative of the Pino Daniele from this album, from Terra Mia, from Vai Mo' or from Nero A Metà, which are for me his best records. He had a beautiful cavernous voice, very bluesy. He probably lost it for health reasons; I believe there were heart issues. But the voice would be the least of it, the real, serious problem is the trivialization of his current songs.

Leone di Lernia meets Elvis & Sinatra in Brescia, in short... a strange jumble.

The review is nice to read. However, I don't share the opinion on the album, which for me is far below other - even later - works by The Cure.

Hi Hal. I have a track of his on a compilation from Impulse ("Red Hot + Cool") and it's not bad.
