Caz... you're really a jerk. :D

I've never really liked R.E.M. Maybe it's because the first album I bought by them was Out Of Time (a bit too commercial) or maybe it's because they seem to have been making the same song forever (they all sound alike, in my opinion, eh!)... but they don't do much for me, even though they're really good at hitting the right choruses in their singles (perfect for being memorized by everyone and sung unconsciously to the point of exhaustion). They're very radio-friendly, in short, but...
But.

I’m getting it… (I save a little when I can!) anyway, I really like what I’ve managed to hear so far. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll throw out another suggestion in the realm of American indie rock: the Get Up Kids. Those few tracks I have communicate a sense of spontaneity, straightforwardness, and power, even though technically they might not seem top-notch. Does anyone have more precise information? Is it worth getting them? Aside from the nice review from easy, which convinced me halfway, I’d like to hear the opinions of others. Cheers.

I only know one song, Feel The Pain, precisely. It doesn't seem "lame" to me at all; in fact, when it speeds up, it's really beautiful! Anyway, if the level is as high as you say, we definitely need to get this masterpiece, right?

Vrensis the Revenge. Well... I like the way you put it, Caz. Unfortunately, I belong to the category of those who don't know a damn thing about Zappa.
The reason is simple: he has always seemed to me one of those artists you have to know, and because of that, I've always had trouble approaching him (impositions have always bothered me). I don't know what to do about it; plus, the guy kind of scares me. From what I hear, I've never felt like a worthy listener. I might be wrong, but... I still can’t bring myself to listen to him.

Given these premises, I fear I must contact my friend with Traumatenue as soon as possible; you've truly piqued my curiosity.
